Nitemare Posted April 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I was wondering if I'm allowed to renege on my wedding vows when I'm on the ship. I mean, we're outside the 3 mile territorial limit so the law shouldn't enter into it, right? It wouldn't be Adultery since we're not covered by US or state regulations. Thank you for your input. 10X Posted April 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I believe the United States maintains a 200 mile fishing limit. Therefore, you are not allowed for fish for any spieces within that limit without licensing from the United States government. Nitemare Posted April 4, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Thanks for the quick and helpful reply, 10X. I guess I'll have to wait until we're past Cuba to pull out my gear. gvre Posted April 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Yes, I like a little humor! We were in Las Vegas last year and I asked my husband if he would like to renew our vows... His eyes really lit up! He had no idea they had expired! cynbar Posted April 5, 2004 #12 Share Posted April 5, 2004 If the Red Sox don't improve quickly, my husband and I will be reneging on our vows and a whole lot more by Mother's Day. Where is that gangplank when you need it???? At least we wouldn't be subjected to any more posts from people who don't want to dress up for formal night----
bahamapapa Posted April 6, 2004 #13 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Cynbar-- That does bring up an interesting point. If you walk the plank on formal night, do you still have to wear a tux? jhannah Posted April 6, 2004 #16 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Reneg on wedding vows while at sea? H-m-m-m. Can't say for sure, but I think Carnival offers that on their mate-swapping-party sailing. Guess you'll have to consult Brittany's attorney. 'Vegas Jim
