buckirj1 Posted May 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2015 HAL's Facebook page has a posting in tribute to the late BB King. A very classy thing to do.
Cruising-along Posted May 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2015 I saw that, very nice. Just a few minutes earlier DH said he wondered if HAL would say/do anything about BB King's death, and then we saw that. :)
InTheWASide Posted May 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Would be nice if they also did a post on the HAL Blog instead of just promoting Sip and Savor cruises. But agree that it's a nice touch given that thanks to his club's affiliation HAL has some of the best entertainment they've had in years via that partnership
sail7seas Posted May 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2015 It is nice as well as appropriate seeing the entertainment they currently are presently on board the ships,,,,,,,, which seems to be very popular with guests.
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Nice idea. But not everyone belongs to Facebook. They should do it on their own site.
sail7seas Posted May 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Nice idea. But not everyone belongs to Facebook. They should do it on their own site. That is a good suggestion though it could set a precedence for everyone with a connection to HAL. That could get to be too much.

Chase's Dad Posted May 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 16, 2015 Many moons ago, Schlitz brought Mr. King and some other musicians to Groves Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC so that ANYONE could see them play -- for free! (The other musicians? Flatt and Scruggs, Dave Brubeck, and Dizzy Gillespie.) First time I ever heard "The Thrill Is Gone." Not the last. Not by a long shot. May Lucille and he rest in peace. The thrill created by that man has not "gone way."
