robert1592 Posted May 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Does know how if possible to get another S &S card if it is lost while on an excursion??? Can someone in our party go back onboard to get a new card from guest services???? Traveling with some first timers and teenagers.
elliair Posted May 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) Go to Guest Services and have them issue the lost card holder a new one. Keep an eye on their S&S printout. Anything in question go back to GS. Edited May 17, 2015 by elliair

SadieN Posted May 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2015 How do you get passed security checkpoint and back in the ship to go to Guest Services without it? Let them know and they will contact ship security.
volmoma Posted May 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2015 There is always an emergency contact in the Carnival Funtimes... For example Curacao it's The Armada Port Agency, it has a web page address and also a phone number to call. I would advise you to make sure you have this with you in EVERY port of call. (They are different in each port). Hopes this helps..
cmecruise1962 Posted May 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 17, 2015 This is one of the reasons I get Faster to the Fun! My son loses his card at least twice on every cruise! Never on shore though (thank goodness!) Once you find the old card (because we always did) it is no longer active, so make sure you throw it away or stick it in your suitcase under the bed or something. love my grandkids Posted May 17, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 17, 2015 It happens all the time. Tell security when you get back on the ship and they will take care of getting you to guest services to get a new one.
dbrucern Posted May 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Just make sure you have picture ID when going a shore, if you loose the card as we did they allowed us back on the ship by using ID and going straight to GS
steph7021 Posted May 17, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Punch a hole in the card and buy lanyards. It really helps the teenagers I've taken!

KOOLKEN Posted May 17, 2015 #13 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Was wondering about that too. Dont see any connection. My assumption was they were referring to being able to use the FTTF line at guest services so it was a faster process to get a new card.

Well, that's a new slant for buying it, but sounds logical.
volmoma Posted May 17, 2015 #15 Share Posted May 17, 2015 OK, I'm confused, what does FTTF have to do with lost card? Haven't a clue!!!! And if you loose it on shore they're ports that I would think EXTREMELY HARD to get through port security to even get to the ship...JUST SAYING

Isa65 Posted May 17, 2015 #17 Share Posted May 17, 2015 When traveling with young kids and teenagers, you can collect all S&S cards when getting off the ship in a port of call. Whenever you're back in line to board, give everyone their cards and make sure everyone has lanyards when walking around on board.
justusfour2014 Posted May 17, 2015 #18 Share Posted May 17, 2015 My kids are 12 and 16 with 3 cruises under their belts. So far, no S&S cards lost. They hang on to them while on the boat, and when we are in port the cards are placed in my husband's waterproof case.
dmtiern Posted May 17, 2015 #19 Share Posted May 17, 2015 a few years ago my daughters BF lost his wallet at the beach in Nassau, cash, sail card, ID, everything. We went to customs/security to re-board ship, told him ID was lost, he asked for cabin #, name, where we were from, then waved us through. Guest services issued BF a new card. Best part, wallet was found & actually returned to ship INTACT! :)

tocruzagain Posted May 17, 2015 #21 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Yes, you go to guest services and report it lost. They will deactivate it and issue a new card. My son's card didn't work one time and they had to give him a new one.
Tiggertastic Posted May 17, 2015 #22 Share Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) My husband lost his in port. If getting in ship they hold you and check your ID etc before allowing to board but we're were tendering. They opened a battle box with a paper list of all guests. They radio messaged to ship who then confirmed him and they placed a lanyard round his neck that said 'lost card'. We nicknamed it 'the cone of shame' At the ship security identified him with his driving licence and he was escorted to guest relations Edited May 17, 2015 by Tiggertastic

Donh44 Posted May 17, 2015 #25 Share Posted May 17, 2015 How do you get passed security checkpoint and back in the ship to go to Guest Services without it? I am sure that the security people at the gangway will be able to assist you. You are not the first to have lost their card, I am sure. They certainly are not going to turn you away.
