Casino Cruises/Premier Questions

Well, I got a new confirmation. But they don't show you your fare code these days. There are no "notes" attached.

I've just emailed my PVP to confirm that I'm now booked under the Premier offer and will get the benefits. Otherwise, all I did was save $20.

I don't know why it would matter. I'm well outside the cancellation period. He could simply cancel and rebook under the new fare code.

If I get a response today, I'll post. I fly to FLL tomorrow for my Conquest Premier sailing on Sunday so will soon be out-of-touch.

There is so much misinformation in this thread I am not even going to correct any of it. I have 2 suggestions:

1) If you don't know absolutely for sure the answer to a question (meaning first hand personal experience in the subject matter) please don't parrot off something you heard/read.

2) Do not take what you have read in this thread to be accurate in any way whatsoever.

First hand experience - it is 1 point for every $2.50 spent in a slot machine. (Not a point for every dollar)

I do not play tables so I am not familiar with the point conversion there but do know you must ask to be rated for play.

After 1,500 points, you are eligible for drinks on us in the casino. If you have enough points on your last cruise (I think 5000??) you will be eligible for the drinks on us card at the beginning of your current cruise.

A high point number does not mean that you have spent hours and hours of time or tons of your own money. If you are playing a $5 machine, points add up fast! If you find a machine that is paying and you continue to play off what it has paid, you are still racking up points (and not actually spending "out of pocket" money).

Not sure about the amount of points needed for the free cruise offers but we have received them twice - once I had over over 8,000 points - husband had about 3,000 - and we both got the offer on the last night of cruise. I don't remember our points on the other cruise but I got the offer and he did not.

The last time they did the $50 book/$50 OBC offer, my husband got the offer but I did not (and I gamble way more than he does).

I will say that we just cruised in May and I had well over 5,000 points (stopped paying attention at that point), had the drink card waiting on me on day 1, hit a $1920 jackpot and did NOT get a free offer at the end - I did have another cruise already booked for November so maybe there is truth in no free offers if you already have another booked???

I also received a premier invitation several months ago that expired in May and could not take any of the dates offered - since then I have received 2 more offers - so obviously those keep coming.

I played 3500 in cash up and down on craps. But most of the time I was getting killed and didn't last long. Luckily i had two good nights and got most of my losses back. But because i didn't play that long any of the nights i didn't get an offer.

To all the experts out there, what is the best way to accumulate so many points needed for these free cruises? Should you bet the maximum for a few hours or should you bet the minimum and spend all day at the casino?

For example, suppose you want to spend $1000 in the casino, would you bet 0.30 cents until the money is gone or bet $3 until the money is gone?

TIA

It's not the amount of time you spend in the casino unless you are playing table games. If you are playing slot machines then the higher payouts are in the high limit machines and you will win more. The more you win and put back in... the more points you will accumulate toward a bounce back offer.

If your only goal is to earn points, play a machine that is less volatile (a machine that has lots of small hits as opposed to a big hit very rarely)...and play at a value you are comfortable with.

A casino offer isn't really a deal if you gamble outside of your comfort zone to get it.

OK, so I'm never going to get a bounce-back offer until I play way more than I usually do (and stop booking multiple cruises in advance). I have a gambling budget and that's it. No way am I going to run up my S&S acct trying to get a "free" cruise! I've actually been know to cash out when I'm ahead and lock the cash in the safe.

Anyway, here's what my PVP had to say about my changing an existing booking to a Premier (Sunshine 11/28)...

"Rest assured, you have your casino perks. There may be times when you cannot change to a premier promotion, but the vast majority of those instances are when the promotion gets closed out before guests can take advantage of them. Sometimes a ship will only offer a few cabins and it sells out in a single day."

I got the bounce back offer earlier this month. No other offers are showing up. Anyone know how likely I am to get casino offers in the future? If anyone else had a bounce back offer and then other casino offers, how long did it take after the bb cruise to start getting offers? The one earlier this month was my first on Carnival but I'm taking the BB cruise in July.

Bounce Backs are a stand alone promotion from the casino. Receiving a bounce back doesn't ensure that you will get any other offers. Premier offers, Double down offers and Pack and Play offers may be on their way but not a guarantee.

According to the Executive casino hosts it takes a single cruise where you earned a minimum 7500 points to be entered into the Premier groupings at the lowest level. (chatted up Carlos and Lillian on the Ultra cruise in December)

Pack and Plays are a crapshoot, I know high rollers.....I mean WHALES that do not get these and I also know those that dabble with $100 a day budget that do. I do not get these offers as of yet. (seems random as all get out)

And my favorite...the double down. It took me 5 years an 15 cruises to start receiving this promotion and I consider these to be the best of all the casino offers and they only come to me once a year.

I just noticed I have a premiere cruise offer. I don't think I can take it because they don't offer them in the summer or during holidays and being in education that is my only time off. I am curious what kind of casino cash I might would get. Is there a way to tell online or do I have to call?

Mom got finally got one that she can use--- a west coast cruise.

Since I'm the third in the cabin, wondering if I get any of the invites or other stuff?

Not going to make or break it for me, just want to know if I should be expecting anything.
