Sunburg1 Posted May 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2015 What is the current situation for bathrobes on NCL. Do they or do they not provide them, or is it necessary to bribe the Room Steward? Thanks, we leave on the Jewell Saturday.
triptolemus Posted May 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2015 The room steward can probably get you one. Just ask. They are usually not placed in inside staterooms by default.
tleahcim Posted May 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2015 In my suite on The Sky, they were in the closet when I arrived. For my mini-suite on the Getaway, I had to request them, but the attendant said they would have been there normally - just a delay with the laundry. I have never had a robe for an inside or balcony cabin but also never requested one.
GateGuardian Posted May 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Robes are usually only available to mini-suites or above.
rochelle_s Posted May 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Not sure if the reports from others are new rules but I have always had or been able to request a bathrobe regardless of cabin category. I have only sailed insides and balconies on NCL. Rochelle
Markanddonna Posted May 29, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) It is my understanding that bathrobes and coffee makers are automatically available in balconies and above. The coffee isn't that good, so bring filters and your own coffee if you want to make it yourself. Was on the Jewel in May, 2015. I think you can ask for a bathrobe in all cabins. Rare mking8288 Posted May 29, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2015 It's supposed to be in all balconies and up category, 2 per cabin (request extra if there are more of you in the cabin) - it is a one-size-fit all so I don't exactly go nuts wearing one that barely fit. Much rather wear silk ones by Shanghai Tang from flying CX across the polar routes. Was on the Breakaway in a balcony but never saw them - didn't bother asking steward for it, as they are usually in the close or hanging on the wall. SuiteCruiser Posted May 29, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I had two in my inside cabin on the Sky a couple of weeks ago.
