Holibobbers Posted June 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Hi, I am considering a last minute mini 4 day cruise on the Oriana and could do with some advise from anyone that has sailed on her. I can't decide what cabin to go for - it doesn't seem to explain the difference between an 'outside' and 'outside deluxe' am also tempted to go for a balcony cabin, but not sure as won't be in the cabin that much (hopefully) and is it worth the extra money? Any advise is much appreciated many thanks in advance

Certainly a balcony is not worth it for 4 days, after all there is the back decks to sit out on if you feel that way inclined
Rare P&O SUE Posted June 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2015 I've been on a 4 nighter on Oriana and can recommend the outside cabins on E Deck - nice and handy for the MDR and the Atrium. Nice little sofa too to sit on which you don't get on the larger ships (unless you have a balcony!) IF you book - enjoy the cruise!

Scriv Posted June 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) We have also had a nice outside cabin on E deck and agree with P&O Sue - nice and handy and also stable in rocky seas as well. Spacious enough. Our friends had an Outside Deluxe on C which I have to say was lovely - it had a sort of vestibule, a larger bathroom with shower over as opposed to the shower cubicle in our Outside cabin and a very nice seating area, which you could curtain off from the (also larger) bedroom area. It all seemed quite a bit larger than ours. I guess it would depend on how much you wanted to pay and what the difference in price was. gadabout60 Posted June 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2015 I don't understand why people think a balcony is not worth it for a few days. Whatever the weather a balcony gives you fresh air and adds a new dimension to your cabin
jeanlyon Posted June 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Not much use if it is peeing with rain or blowing a gale.
aurora2009 Posted June 19, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) We have booked one of these cabins for 3 for our cruise in august. We have seen them whilst on board Oriana on past cruises. Much roomier and the benefit of not having your bed under the window. Rare Host Sharon Posted June 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 19, 2015 No need for a balcony however long the cruise, if you book one near the lovely tiered stern decks.
