OTownNick Posted August 30, 2015 #102 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Thanks for sharing that info. I'm on Enchantment right now and today's the last day so after about 3 hrs of play today at roulette I'm hoping to see something. I'll let you all know. Btw I think the W-2 is for slots only. OTownNick Posted August 31, 2015 #103 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Well, I am finished gambling for rhis 3 night cruise and I didn't see any free cruise certificates given out. I was hoping I woukd get one - I was at the roulette table for almost 6 hours today alone and they had my avg bets $50-75. I also played 2-3 hrs per day prior to the last day. I woulda bought my play would have gotten something.. I hope my rebate is good....better be more than $350 or to me it's not worth it cause I lost double that. Daghis Posted August 31, 2015 Author #104 Share Posted August 31, 2015 It's possible that they might not give them out on 3-night cruises because they're not long enough to see enough play. I qualified for a free cruise certificate on my 8-night cruise in March (I was "almost there" by night six, qualified for the first tier certificate on night seven, and just reached the second tier certificate on night eight). That was with enough play in the casino to earn an $875 rebate.

If you play roulette I look forward to joining you at the table.
itching2cruiseagain Posted September 3, 2015 #106 Share Posted September 3, 2015 My husband and I each received a free balcony certificate (or $1,000 x 2) from our Independence of the Seas August 9, 2015 sailing. Our combined rebates are over $3,000. we were able to apply our rebates to our November Allure sailing. We cannot apply rebates to a cruise booked with the certificates. According to Club Royale we will also not be able to earn rebates while on the certificate cruise. None of the cruises on the list fit for us, so we booked a weekend cruise on the Majesty. With casino rates we paid less than $600 (Including: Port fees, Taxes, Pre-Paid Gratuities, Insurance, etc.) and we will be in the Royal Suite. :D We figure on a 3 night cruise we won't earn much of a rebate anyway, so we won't be missing much. Now we have the nicest room on the ship for under $600.

I thought the free cruise cert and rebate earned was an either/or....the program is still confusing. In March I had a free cruise on Allure and I was able to earn rebates on THAT cruise.... itching2cruiseagain Posted September 3, 2015 #108 Share Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) According to the Club Royale rep, the new program starts in December. They don't have any details yet for that either. They might be testing the waters with whatever the consumer will accept, or the reps are just following what they think the rules are. If nobody is explicit in what the rules are, the rules will be interpreted differently by different people, who knows. We'll see if we earned a rebate after the Majesty.... Next up the Conquest. TheTruthCanHurt Posted September 3, 2015 #109 Share Posted September 3, 2015 That was my understanding too that the certs were either or. I have a free cruise on the oasis coming up in a few weeks ... Life is Good Cruising Posted September 3, 2015 #110 Share Posted September 3, 2015 I'm aware that I can't get a casino rebate if I'm going to use my $1000 certificate on our 11/30/15 cruise. CR informed me that I would still be able to *earn* a casino rebate on the 11/30/15 certificate cruise which would be applied to my next cruise in January 2016. **Itching2cruiseagain** indicates something different than what I was told so that is a little confusing. CR also said on the cruise that I just earned my certificate in August, I would be able to apply that rebate to my next sailing in October. I did not think I would still be getting a rebate & a cert. and thought one of the other. And any rebate earned on our 11/8/15 cruise would be not be able to be applied to our certificate cruise on 11/30/15. This is where they take away your rebate. Does all this make sense to you? TheTruthCanHurt Posted September 3, 2015 #113 Share Posted September 3, 2015 When playing roulette, do you spread it across several inside numbers (if so how many) or do u play outsides? I have my favorite inside numbers for sure. (never play any outside bets) and then I always play a minimum of 20.00 on double zero everytime. and at least 10 on the 0/00 split

OTownNick Posted September 3, 2015 #115 Share Posted September 3, 2015 I got a $425 rebate from my Aug 28 cruise. I wanted to apply it to my next cruise in Oct but CR said I can cause they only allow ONE rebate at a time. So I had to move it to my cruise in Nov. Now what happens with my rebate I earn on the Oct cruise? I will have to apply that to ANOTHER cruise I have booked in Dec. My next cruise after that is March 18 so unless i take another cruise in Jan-Feb whatever I earn in Dec will be lost. Problems with booking too many cruises lol
Daghis Posted September 3, 2015 Author #116 Share Posted September 3, 2015 That's strange that you ended up in this situation, Nick. They've always told me that they want rebates to be applied to the next subsequent cruise in order to prevent that kind of problem. In fact, I had a rebate that was originally on a cruise that got rescheduled to next July (thus putting it out of sequence), and they moved the rebate from then to my next cruise in October to keep everything tidy. It makes sense. I am just going by what they told me. It may not be correct. If we earn a rebate on our October cruise great, if not oh well, it is only a 3 day cruise anyway. We are also going on the 11/8 cruise and that is our rebate cruise. Is your 11/8 cruise on the Allure? Hopefully Club Royale will figure it out and get their story straight :-)

Hopefully Club Royale will figure it out and get their story straight :-) Yes we'll be on Allure 11/8 :D With 5 remaining cruises for 2015  I called CR back for clarification as to what cruise won't get the cash rebate. I thought it would have been our next cruise on Liberty 10/3, my mistake. Since the certificate is being used for Anthem's 11/30 sailing, what you said is correct, rebates cannot apply to a cruise booked with the certificates. So no rebate from my Allure cruise on Anthem. Per CR, you *will* still be able to earn a rebate while on the certificate cruise. The casino will *track* my play from Allure 11/8 & Anthem 11/30 sailing, and whatever rebate is higher from either cruise, I'll receive rebate on our next cruise in January. Good Luck to both of you in the casino on Allure :) For slot players only, something I didn't know before hand, Allure's casino is open 24 hrs. while at sea, it was nice and quiet in the early mornings. I don't have an invite to the Holiday Party, it's no big deal to me. CR may have an entertainer singing at the Holiday Party. We saw him on Quantum in January and he is really, yes really good!! Many of us had such a great time with him. He also performed quite a few nights in the casino and is one of the reasons why we booked this cruise. Enjoy the party!! :) As far as the slot pull, I don't know what we'll be doing, so it's a maybe. I can donate to the cause and have someone else spin for me. Life is Good Cruising Posted September 8, 2015 #122 Share Posted September 8, 2015 Received an invite to the Beach Bash, which others may have one already. Mine came Saturday for the 2015 Beach Bash BBQ on the following ships: Independence 12/5/15 Freedom 12/6/15 Liberty 12/6/15 Mention code RCIBBQ4 No mention of a free room, just casino rates for this event. I am so confused while this waiting for the new program for CR players to start. On a June, '15 cruise I was told I had a rebate of $850. BUT I had to use it before the end of 2015. Now I see others are getting rebates applied to January, 2016 cruises. Has there been a change as to just how long rebates from this year can be used in 2015 or up until sometime in 2016? Two weeks ago, I was told they didn't even know if there would be any rebates when the new program starts. So confusing...to say the least.... Anyone know - OR getting different answers?
