stoneman56 Posted June 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2015 We usually get a bottle of wine in our suite from our TA and a bottle of bubbly from NCL. Are we allowed to take these around the ship IE into the dining rooms?
Sauer-kraut Posted June 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2015 Yes, it will be in the cabin waiting for you. If you like they can hold the bottle for you and give you a chit and you can take it to any bar or dining room and they will retrieve it for you. Not a problem at all. ;)
FreestyleNovice Posted June 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2015 Yup, part of freestyle. At Shaker's bartender Lorelei (now on Getaway) even used our bubbly to make some cocktails for us, which was the best fate for it. :D
ColinIllinois Posted June 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2015 I just noticed something when I posted this in another thread: Wine & Champagne Policy Guests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought on board and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, a corkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below. 750 ml Bottle: $15.00 1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00 Wine or champagne sent directly to the ship by travel agents, friends, family, etc. or from another retail source, are subject to the same fees. Box wines are not allowed on board. Not sure how strict they are on that. Perhaps someone else can chime in.
FreestyleNovice Posted June 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2015 The difference is "sent" versus "ordered with NCL by your TA", I think.

FreestyleNovice Posted June 22, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 22, 2015 Ah gotcha. That would make sense. Thanks. My pleasure. Makes me wonder, after reading it; it's possible to have items sent to the ship adressed to, let's say a stateroom number and a sailing date? We once ordered beach towels and flip flops at Amazon and had them delivered to our hotel for a pre cruise beach stay, avoiding some weight and saving space in our luggage on the flights. No, NCL will not receive any packages for incoming guests. You have to either bring it with you or have it sent to a hotel where you are staying.
