Disembarking at Port Canaveral

Hi,

 

We'll be on the freedom in September and trying to arrange a private transfer from Port Canaveral to Universal and trying to work out what time for pick up.

 

Was wondering what recent experiences have been like getting through immigration at Port Canaveral. Also does anyone know what time the ship starts disembarking?

They start around 7:00 with the self assist. I'm always in my car by 8:00 and home by 9:00

The ship will start disembarkation usually within 45 minutes of arrival. If you carry off your own luggage, you should be outside the terminal by 7am, assuming 6am arrival.

This was consistent with my recent trip. We waited till 8:30 only because of our post cruise excursions.

As the others have said, self-assist is the way to go if you're looking to be off early. Otherwise, if you check your bags you're at the mercy of whichever zone you get assigned to.

 

When I've done self assist at PC (most recently on Enchantment) we've always been off the ship and out of the terminal by 7:30/8:00.

We were at PC in May and when we were able to get off the ship we went to the luggage area (Disney and we let them take our luggage off) and went to the immigration line they looked at our info and then we were at the parking area. So for us it was about 5 to 10 mins so hope this helps out.

We cruise out of Port Canaveral a lot - should be easy disembarking somewhere around 7:30 or so. Let them know you have a pick up at whatever time after that you decide. It is about 1 hour from the port to Universal so plan around that.

In may we did the same thing. Cruise then universal with private transport. We walked off the ship about 730 with the luggage and we're walking into universal studios at 930am after checking in at Lowe's royal pacific.
