Rare Petroplex Posted June 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I sail on the Navigator on 02 August, and I have seen varying prices for unlimited wifi- usually something like $30 a day for two devices to be connected. However, I have seen conflicting information on what "two devices" means. If I buy unlimited access for two devices and attempt to log on a third, do I pay for a third device or does one of the previous two simply get kicked off the network? I know, I know, checking email on vacation is bad. I judge a week's worth of email an unwelcome return gift while waiting in line at customs, however, so I am trying to figure out the best way to handle things. Thanks! Two devices means two devices at the same time. You can use unlimited different devices, as long as only two are logged in at the same time. The last time we tried to log in the third device, the log in was denied. We had to log off one of the other devices. steveru621 Posted June 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I have had two different experiences, using a one device unlimited plan. On one ship you could simply turn off your device. The last time I used unlimited I had to LOGOFF to use a second device. Switching between my cell phone WiFi and Laptop was easy as long as you were aware of the ship's WiFi quirks. My wife even used her cell phone a few times to check Facebook. JMHO, if all you are concerned with is emails, I would buy only one device and switch back and forth. jamesr3939 Posted June 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2015 On Oasis in March it was fast enough for FaceTime. A few times I was able to have three devices logged on at the same time. But most of the time if two were logged on the third would be denied.
