Can you tell me if there are refrigerators in the rooms?

There are refrigerators in the rooms, but they aren't very cold. We tried to chill our wine in it and it was just barely cool. We wound up going up to a Lido bar and asking for a beer bucket filled with ice so we could chill it.

Thanks for the review, I'm really enjoying it. We'll be cruising on her next Mar on a 14 days Journeys cruise. Looking forward to spending that much time onboard. We've cruised on the Miracle (same class ship) twice and loved it.

More pictures of the ship would be great.

I love reading reviews and don't usually comment, but I am thoroughly enjoying this one and you writing style!

Pride is one of our favorite ships although we have not been on her since the 2.0 upgrades. Thinking of booking something for next year. In the meantime enjoying reading about your trip!

Kimba, was your daughter my "twinsie" who was also wearing a bathing suit with black bottoms and an orange top? She was a riot!

Thanks for following along :D

No, but my daughter was hanging out with the girl with the orange/black suit! For fun I went back through my pictures to see if I caught any of you and I didn't I think I did capture a picture of that same fish though!

Here's another photo of me in my sweet raft. This was right before the giant paddle board monster attacked the Carnival Pride, reaching up to the upper decks and plucking unsuspecting chogs from their deck chairs. Thank goodness AJ and I were safe on the shore.

omg, that's hilarious. Love it :)

We headed up to our room and took a nap (what a surprise). Tonight was Guess That 80s Song with Kevin at 9:15 p.m., and we knew we wouldn't be able to eat in the MDR and make the game in time, so we made the decision to eat dinner at the Lido buffet for the FIRST TIME EVER.

And it was GOOD! We were pleasantly surprised. I don't think we'd make an active attempt in the future to chose it over the MDR unless we had another event that we really wanted to make, but it did the trick. Of course I hit up the salad bar, and Chopsticks was open so we were able to grab some Asian fare. The lasagna bolognese on the buffet line was exactly the same one from the MDR and was warm and tasty.

We grabbed some drinks and headed down to the casino to get some time in before my game. Around 9 p.m., I was getting ready to head over to the main atrium to stake out a spot, but AJ was totally into the Great Inca and told me he'd meet me around the time the game started.

A little background about me: I have only three geniune talents in life, and in no particular order, they are dodgeball, braiding hair, and being able to name songs and artists of most genres (not country, woof) within a few seconds of the opening riffs. I've always try to attend the name that tune games on our past cruises in hopes that I will win a coveted ship on a stick. 80s are one of my favorite genres, and I was hoping to do some damage tonight.

When I arrived at the atrium, it was PACKED - totally filled to the edges of the dance floor, no seats available at the bar or any of the chairs, and people leaning up against the railing of the deck above. I was starting to feel nervous to compete against so many people.

AJ showed up for a split second to deliver me a glass of wine, and he left me immediately for the Great Inca. Thanks for the help, AJ! I was on my own.

Kevin, the Cruise Director, appeared on stage and introduced the format: he would play a short snippet of 20 songs, and we would have to guess the song and the artist. Each correct answer would result in 1 point, for a grand possible-total of 40 points.

Hi Rose! The ship tour is coming a little later. I've got a TON of ship photos and I figured I'd do one big section at the end highlighting each of the different areas of the ship. Stay tuned! :D

Question after looking at the HMC drinks menu you posted- Don't see any wine listed is there any available?

Very good point, Xyz! I can't believe I didn't notice that there wasn't any wine offerings on the menu at the Half Moon Cay Bar. I also didn't happen to catch if there was any wine behind the bar area (and maybe it just wasn't listed on the menu), or if they didn't serve wine at all. They seemed to have a bigger booze set up at the pirate ship bar, so I am wondering if they do wine there. I'm sorry that I don't have a definitive answer for you, but maybe if anyone's been able to order wine on HMC, they can chime in! :)

GAPearl! Thank you for your nice words and I'm so honored that you're following along. I LOVE your reviews and have followed all of them religiously. It's obvious from them that you're tons of fun and I would be totally honored to cruise with you someday. Our dinner table would be awesome - just think of how many cute dresses there would be between you, me, and AJ ;)

Thanks girl! :) Yes we would definitely be awarded the best dressed table for sure, although I'm sure AJ in a dress would totally outshine us. Haha :o

Holy cow I've never seen anyone post the sky this black at HMC! I'm glad it didn't last long though and you enjoyed your day.

I just booked the Pride today, yay! :D Do you by chance have any pictures of the waterslide? I think I remember seeing in someone else's review that it's green and called the green monster or something like that?

There are two slides. The old, yellow one that is salt water. And the new, green one - the Green Monster - which is fresh water. The Green Monster is awesome. You are nearly vertical in an enclosed "box" with water flowing down the back of it and clear plexiglas through which you can see the slide operator. The floor drops out and you fall then slide. Good stuff. Search youtube for a video of it.

The 80's music trivia was a highlight of this cruise for sure! Kevin the cruise director made this extra fun. I wasn't so good at it, but my hubby did pretty good. I knew the songs and I just loved the sing along part, I just didn't know the names and artists. After this we made sure to attend all of the other sing along trivia.

I finally spotted my daughter in one of your pictures. In the first picture on this post, she is on the left edge of the picture behind the girl with the gray shirt and black shorts. LOL! :)

Love the review. I've been looking at the Pride since we can drive to Baltimore so easily from here in Philly.

BTW - I grew up in Buffalo so, a little snowier than you guys :). We're headed up there this weekend and then stopping at RIT for a college visit with my youngest on the way home.

We leave on Pride on Sept 6 and I'm totally loving your review. I'm a review junkie (reading others and writing my own) whenever we travel so this is feeding my addiction. I was planning to go to sleep 45 minutes ago but wanted to see what else you had too say. Since I'm now at the end and have to wait for more posts, I guess I can finally sleep. :) Thanks for making me even more excited and less anxious about cruising Carnival. My only wish is that we were going to HMC instead of the Bahamas.

I would love to read a review of a cruise that you and Kim are on together! :)

I'd even be interested in going on that cruise! Baltimore is only a few hours from where I live!

I think you are talking about the Chesapeake Bridge-Tunnel, right before the ship leaves the bay and enters the ocean. It's pretty neat to see - you can see the cars headlights and then they just seem to disappear as they enter the tunnel;)

Were the arrows pointing on the freeway for the drivers?
