Hello! Has anyone taken the "Chilkoot Lake Kayak Experience" excursion through Princess or another outfit that traveled from Skagway to Haines, and did a kayaking excursion there? If so, how was it and would you recommend it?

Thank you!

For me, it was just OK. Beautiful lake, and nice guides, but you don't see a lot of wildlife (maybe a fish jumping, but that was it.). Would be a good trip for beginners, as the water is very calm.

*(Tip - Make sure you use the restroom on the ship or the ferry before you leave for the tour. The available "facilities" at the lake were absolutely the worst I have ever encountered.):(

I've mentioned this for at least 10 years. :) Not sure when you were there, but at the end of the season, it's even worse. :) Another really bad one is at the "visitor area", at the White Pass/South Klondike Highway pull off. Contrary, I have never run into anything but clean, stocked outhouses on the Dalton.
