Irons & Steamers

Recommended Posts

No irons....but plastic steamers are ok.

Irons and steamers are both not allowed.

(from the prohibited item list that Bob posted)

- Candles, Incense, Coffee Makers, Clothes Irons, Travel Steamers & Hot Plates. (Items that generate heat or produce an open flame. This includes heating pads, clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard. NOTE: The only exception to this policy are curling irons and hair straighteners. Matches and normal lighteners are allowed onboard. However "torch lighters" and novelty lighters that look like guns are not allowed onboard. Torch lighters emit a powerful concentrated flame, and therefore are prohibited.

FYI, I got sent to the Naughty room for 'having an iron' in checked bags.

But I didn't.

Was a pain and didn't get bag back until 13 min before dinner time.

And they weren't very apologetic at all.

I managed to take a steamer on one cruise but had it confiscated on the next!

At the time though you could actually buy travel steamers on the ship gift shop.... Never did figure out the rationale for taking mine!

I wonder if they are still available for Purchase?

We have found that Downy wrinkle releaser does NOTHING.

I agree. I have found that spraying with water and hanging to dry does just as well besides I have trouble with the smell triggering a migraine.
