I was just on the Coral last month. Churchill's lounge is mid-ship on Deck 7, Promenade. Smoking was also Starboard Aft by the Universe Lounge. I am uncertain to the location on an upper deck. My roommate only used these 2 locations, as well as the smoking area in the Casino.

I agree there are a couple of locations on the Promenade.

Thanks for all information. We are actually trying to avoid the smoke. With smoking on Deck 6 in the Casino and Deck 7 in the Churchhill's, how much spill over is there into the public areas on those decks?

For example, on the Grand Princess with smoking in the casino, there was a distinct smoke smell at the guests services desk.

I don't see a Churchill's on the Coral, Casino I assume has a smoking aread, what are the other outside smoking areas?

Churchill's is mid-ship, but very small compared to other Princess ships. Occasionally, the winds would be too strong for cigarette smokers to stand outside and smoke, therefore they all strolled into the cigar lounge which made for a very crowded atmosphere. If you were a cigar smoker and didn't get to Churchill's in time, you had no where to sit.

I found that to be the case of any public area near the casino and the cigar bar. When the cigar bar door opens, the cigar smell comes out. There's a tobacco smell outside the casino. When we were on the Golden, for example, the area outside the Princess Theater that was closest to the casino really reeked. So do the hallway by the Window Suites (when on the Golden our first time, that category and a few OVs were basically all that were available. We grabbed an OV, but I was interested in seeing if the WS area had a smell outside as their location didn't seem that attractive because of their proximity to the casino/cigar bar..and it really did smell).

I think this thread belongs in the smoking sticky. Anyway, are you trying to avoid the smoke itself or the residue smell of it? There is no smoke pouring out of Churchill's, but if you stand next to the door when it's closed, there is a slight smell.

The only ship of the Princess line that I have ever smelt smoke inside on was Island Princess sister to Coral. The Casinos opens up on to the corridor on the side of the ship,so that corridor reaching to fore of ship areas is smokey .Also I noticed going up the staircase from promenade deck to the Internet area on the floor above.

Now others have stated they did not smell but I did .

Have never sailed on Coral or Island again.

Can't comment on the casino part, but Churchill's door is always closed except when people come in and out, so the smoke is pretty well contained in there.
