JCJR Posted July 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2015 What type of passport? Is it a USB? If so, you need to connect the Passport and the sd card to the laptop, tablet whatever and then you copy over. GUT2407 Posted July 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2015 I am so I just insert the card - does it erase what is uploaded No it doesn't erase. You can also set it up to require a button press before it copies from card to Hdd.

c230k Posted July 30, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Give these youtube videos a look, my help. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=my+passport+wireless+review I bought one and will use it on our next cruise (also my iPad for reviewing). I also, being there is so much room to store, but a couple thousand pictures on for addition backup, pays to play it safe, beside I have all that room. chipmaster Posted July 31, 2015 #13 Share Posted July 31, 2015 DP review indicates it can erase? It is ALWAYS wiser to format your cards in the camera than erase from a laptop or anything else. Not saying bad things happen, but I read about people having bad cards and corrupt pictures. Many blame the card etc. Since converting to digital and going thru too many P&S and DSLR with many many cards and downloads never lost a picture due to card failure, just human error.
