When are GUAR cabins allocated?

They are normally allocated two weeks before departure.

We had booked Select last Jan (2014) for a cruise Dec 2015 and had been told we wouldn't be allocated a cabin until around 4 weeks before departure.

We were in fact allocated cabins last week :), so it seems to me it is totally arbitrary, depending on how a cruise is selling, which categories of cabin are or aren't selling, etc.

I think as a general rule Early Savers are allocated about 4 weeks before and Late savers 2 weeks before. Can vary obviously.

Our early saver cruises were allocated 4 weeks before and our saver was 2 weeks.:)

Early savers are usually allocated about 4 weeks before Saver can be allocated from 2 weeks before up to sail date :-)

We booked a Saver (can't remember if it was early) in February for our cruise on Azura 31st August and were allocated our guaranteed cabin 2 days ago.

Groovechick, having followed your story from the beginning, were you allocated the category that you had booked and were your linked cabins near each other?

 

Friends are having the same issue at the moment with a booking on Britannia far in the future.
