Not planning much in the way of excursions here, other than the Skyride for a good view. Wanted some input on where to eat lunch in St. Thomas. Any and all input is greatly appreciated! There are 5 of us traveling...Me, DW, DS (2 yrs old), and 2 cousins. Thanks!!

if you're looking for Caribbean food/local food, Ideal Restaurant near Blackbeard's Castle has excellent roti and other dishes.

For a bit of on the water dining, but more Americanized food, there's Tickles Dockside in the Crown Bay marina. Or the Beach Bar at Emerald Beach over near the airport. In downtown C.A., a lot of people like to eat at Glady's in the Royal Dane Mall.

There are great small places out in Red Hook and around Sapphire Beach, but that's a good taxi ride from the Skyride.

In town you can look at Cuzzin's and Gladys for a more local flair. We like the mahi mahi and 2 for 1 drinks at the Greenhouse, and the burger and Backstreet Bushwacker at Coconuts. These are all close to one another in town.

If looking at a beach the Best Western in Lindbergh Bay (aka "Emerald Beach" is a comfortable option with a nice beach restaurant and restrooms and a short taxi from Crown Bay where you are docked.

You'll need to taxi to the Paradise Point aerial tram, usually I'd recommend that as a last stop but you could go there first then back into town for a nice lunch and walkabout then taxi back to the shop.

Here's another vote for Cuzzin's Restaurant in St. Thomas. The food is really good! You can Google it and check out there menu.

If there are a lot of ships in port, Cuzzin's can get crowded and the service slows. Last time we were there, the food wasn't as good as we remembered and both DW and I did the slap-on-the-forehead bit and said, "We should have gone to Gladys'"
