NMLady Posted August 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2015 I don't know about Breakaway but what I've found on other cruise ships and in land casinos is that no machine acts the same way two days or even morning and afternoon. I've had $20 last for an hour on a machine one time but then had $20 gobbled up quickly on the same machine another time. Play penny machines would be my advice if there are any. Ctrinh225 Posted August 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2015 Xmas cruise coming up. I like to sit and play the slot machines. Any you would Reccomend that won't eatp my money too fast? Got off Getaway in Feb....I believed most machines will take your moolah but playing pennies with low wager will get you far but not big wins[emoji12] I lost big by playing max but my sis only lost less than $100 the whole cruise by playing low lines and the minimum. And she was having fun while I was the downer. The only good thing that came out of this....is that now CAS gave me 2 comp cruises for my upcoming Ecsape cruise. A free OV and a free balcony. I hope that helps. [emoji6] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Sand and Seas Posted August 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2015 The only machine on board that I've come out ahead on is single line quarter video poker. Walked off $500 ahead....surprised me;)

Walked off $500 ahead....surprised me;) The single line Quarter slot machine will also allow you to play longer and I have won nice $$$ on them in the past. They are not as exciting as the newer Video Penney Slots though.

I had fun playing, won some and at $0.50 per spin was able to keep $5 going for a bit. When I got "grown" and moved to the $1 version of the same machine, well  Edited August 6, 2015 by Nola26
Coastalbreezes Posted August 6, 2015 #10 Share Posted August 6, 2015 Getaway has hundreds of slot machines in denominations from pennies to $100. Minimum bet on most penny slots is 30 cents and you can play those for a while. Tracy

Not as exciting, but the fun lasts longer and with the points I earned in the casino, it's keeping me at the 'Hot' status plus they sent me an offer of another free cruise. Of course, my free cruises from land-based casinos are in a Balcony, but we are taking an inside from CAS and upgrading to Ocean view for $90 each.....and another nice week at sea:cool:
SenatorsFan Posted August 6, 2015 #13 Share Posted August 6, 2015 I had fun at one called "King of Diamonds", a quarter machine. I usually only played one line and won $116.50 one night. Then I went through $20.00 in 5 minutes another night. :p My DH also won $50.00 once. YMMV, of course. Heather
Rare aubreyc1988 Posted August 7, 2015 #14 Share Posted August 7, 2015 I liked this "Mariachi band" game, it was on the hallway somewhere, it was pennies :)
perditax Posted August 7, 2015 #15 Share Posted August 7, 2015 Heaven's Bells/Hell's Bells was the only one that let me run about $25 for a good long while before defeating me. The rest ate my five bucks in under a minute. That said, we are probably doing statistics wrong.
Ctrinh225 Posted August 7, 2015 #16 Share Posted August 7, 2015 My first cruise ever was on RCCL Liberty of the Seas. I played pennies slot called Deal or No Deal. I won a jackpot for $1842. I swear u could have heard my scream from another ship. Gave my sis $200 for luck and she hit also $1842 on another slot. Of course we booked same ship 4 months later and lost all plus many more. Haha. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
