Booking excursions while in port

I was just wondering if anyone ever waits until there in port to book independent tours/excursions?

 

I vaguely remember doing this in Nassau & Ocho Rios years ago. I remember just talking to the taxi drivers or other passengers and going right then. Not sure if those rate were cheaper than if I would have done some research, but it work out then.

 

If anyone has sailed to Falmouth, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel and waited to book once you go there , please let me know about your experience?

In Falmouth, there is really nothing close-by...but I'm sure there will be private vendors there...

 

You certainly can book in port...do you know what you want to do? A guidebook will show you everything there is in each place...and you might find that what you want to do requires NO excursion at all! So many things are easy to do on your own (with the exception of Falmouth).

At Cozumel, just go to the taxi stand ... take a taxi to where you want to go. I highly recommend Paradise Beach. It's $3 and the ask that you spend at least $10 in food and drink. For another $15, you can have access to their huge water inflatables, kayaks, snorkeling, etc. They also have a fantastic pool and the service can't be beat!

Cozumel is very easy. There will be tours right at the pier to book with.
