FTTF Orange Tape Question

I have been reading that some people have been getting Orange Tape/stickers for their bags that are being checked for Faster to the Fun, where do you get this is it placed on by the porters? I sail tomorrow and I want to ensure that I get my bags early, I did not see this explained anywhere on Carnival's site did I miss it?

If this helps I am sailing out of NYC on the Splendor

Once the porters see the FTTF logo on your luggage tags they will put it on for you.

Hi Jeff :)

As the other members stated, as soon as the porters see that you have FTTF they will place the FTTF orange sticker label onto your luggage.

The FTTF orange sticker luggage label looks like this, below:

Have a terrific voyage!

Excellent thank you for the picture this helps me know what to look for :)

Hopefully they will just have it ready when I tell them we are FTTF

Just tell the porters when you give them your bags and watch to make sure they put the stickers on your bags. They're handling so many bags as quickly as they can so some may get missed, We're platinum and I give the porter his tip AFTER he puts the stickers on our luggage.

These orange tags alert the crew on board that these suitcases are the first ones to be delivered.

I had them on my luggage too. I don't know who or when, but they were on my suitcases when they arrived in my room.

If your luggage tags have FTTF and /or Priority on them, the porters put the Orange tags on to identify them for priority delivery.:D

They didn't do this for me on my last Carnival cruise and I had FTTF. I will try to remember to ask the porter next time.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Yes, that's what they tell you! :p

For at least the past six cruises, made sure orange stickers were on my bags and for the past four, they have not been delivered any earlier than they used to be, pre-FTTF. Back when I was platinum and there was no FTTF, I got my bags earlier than I do now.

Not a big deal. Always get them before sailaway, but the stickers are no guarantee that they'll actually be delivered first.

Twice I've stopped and asked porters who were delivering bags (that did NOT have FTTF/priority tags - I know because I looked and the hallway had bags all up and down) when I would get mine. Was asked for my cabin number and the porter returned about 20 minutes later both times with my bags so they obviously weren't even just around the corner.

At least I'm not paying and expecting this wonderful perk of being FTTF. ;)

Do you know if it is a particular port that you have that issue or is at different ones?

I had that problem when Dream was in Pt Canaveral. I didn't have any problem on Dream in NOLA. I don't know if the Carnival people delivering the luggage paid no attention to the sticker or what, but our luggage was delivered at the same time as others on our floor.

In NOLA a couple of weeks ago, we had the tape put around the top handle and our luggage was delivered within an hour. One of the suitcases though, even with the tape was delivered when others to our floor got their luggage. It was a small black one, so maybe it was just missed even with the tape on it.

It happened to me in Baltimore, San Juan and twice in Ft Lauderdale.

The two FLL sailings were both Premier Casino cruises (and all those folks got priority boarding, too) so maybe they just had lots more priority bags than usual.

The only time they arrived really early was from Charleston and I was one of the first to board. But I'm always at the pier early, so I don't think that was the difference.

In Miami, it was the Porters who were putting them on when you handed them your luggage. I watched them do it. They saw our Fttf logo tags and had the orange tags handy and ready to put on. So, if you walk away immediately after handing over your bags, you may miss them doing this, but it's the porters.

The first time I had FTTF, in Long Beach, the porter gave me the orange tape and asked if I wanted to put them on. He was dealing with several people at the time. Had no problem doing that because that way I knew they got on okay. :)
