rcquilt Posted August 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2015 We leave for the Viking Akun Aug. 21. Has anyone sailed on the Akun? Is there really an outlet to use with an American flat iron and/or computer charger?

Mark_T Posted August 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2015 Check the spec written on your 'computer charger' it almost certainly won't care if it gets anything from 110V-240V, so that should be good to plug in anywhere but do check the spec to be sure. Rare Peregrina651 Posted August 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2015 According to Viking's website, the ship has both 110 and 220 outlets. The Akun sails in Russia and is not one of the new Viking Longships. http://www.vikingrivercruises.com/ships/viking-akun/index.html Bring plug adapters (two round prongs) and you will be able to use the 110 & the 220 outlets in the room for charging your electronics. Just read the unit to make sure that it can be used with 110 or 220 -- usually in the fine print. Most charging devices for electronics these days will operate on either current but as soon as you say "all," someone will post with the exception to the rule.
