OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 17, 2015 Author #56 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Day 4 - Falmouth, Jamaica We didn't have anything planned for Falmouth and were just going to wing it. We took our time getting off the ship, walked around a bit, and ate lunch at Margaritaville. We also took a very (*please place emphasis on the word very*) short walk outside of the port. That was quite the experience. I'll leave it at that. View from our cabin out over the Port of Falmouth. (The next 2 photos were taken later in day, not too long before we departed.) Some Beautiful Scenery... More Falmouth Photos to Come!
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 17, 2015 Author #57 Share Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) As I mentioned before, we mainly just walked around the port and then ate at Margaritaville. Locals selling their goods Some Entertainment... Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville (Food was just okay, but atmosphere was nice.) I have just a few more Falmouth photos... OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 17, 2015 Author #58 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Some nice views from the Suite Sun Deck, not too long before we departed... Well that's it for Falmouth! Next up will be Day 5, which will consist mostly of pictures from the All Access Tour. (I may or may not get to that tonight. If not, they'll definitely be posted tomorrow!:))

dln929 Posted August 18, 2015 #60 Share Posted August 18, 2015 I am thoroughly enjoying this review. We take our first Oasis Caribbean cruise next March and what a good way to whet the appetite! Thanks so much for sharing.
prekteacher Posted August 18, 2015 #61 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Oh wow! These photos are really bringing this ship alive. We were on Allure last Thanksgiving and will be on Oasis this Thanksgiving for the Western route. I really can't wait until November now and that's a hard thing to say as living in Chicago doesn't bring good winter thoughts. Thanks for all your time putting this together I can't wait to read and see more! Barb
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 18, 2015 Author #62 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Room Steward/Cabin Attendant Before I forget, I wanted to include a little bit about our cabin steward. I'm not sure how I forgot to include this in my post about our cabin. Anyway, our room steward was Ophelia from Jamaica and she was GREAT! She greeted us multiple times a day with a wonderful personality. We like to get to know the crew, and we got to have several very nice conversations with her. Our room was always clean, and she was always there to help. If we were walking down the hall to or from our room, we always knew if she was somewhere in the area because we would hear her singing. She loved Ed Sheeran, lol! Probably our best cabin steward to date.
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 18, 2015 Author #63 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Day 5 - Sea Day & All Access Tour Other than the All Access Tour, I don't have many pictures from the second sea day. I think the All Access was scheduled for 9. We almost missed it! Not really paying attention, we used our phones to check the time that morning, however, they had adjusted to whatever time zone we were in at the time. We thought it was only 8 and we're planning on getting a nice breakfast and taking our time. Good thing I checked my watch! Luckily, we managed to have a few minutes to spare. We didn't get to eat breakfast though... The tour started in the Aquatheater, but I didn't get any pictures from there. Next up was the Galley! Lots of Carrots! The Bakery Area
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 18, 2015 Author #64 Share Posted August 18, 2015 We got to walk down the I-95 corridor, but pictures were not permitted, unfortunately. Freezers Coolers/Refrigerators (And lots of beer!) Then it was on to the environmental office (??? Not sure of the correct name?) Laundry (Where they do the pressing...) Look, those are the WJ napkins! A very large washing machine...
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 18, 2015 Author #65 Share Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) We also got to see the crew areas, including the recreation room and buffet. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures. I do have this picture though... Deck 2 - Crew Only Next up will be the bridge! I hope everyone is still following along. Feel free to ask questions! Wivian Posted August 18, 2015 #66 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Cabin: This was also our first cruise in a suite. We stayed in Grand Suite 12660. We originally had cabin 8254, but thanks to Cruise Critic, I knew that the Oasis Class ships always dock on the starboard side, Do they really? All the time? Always? OfTheSeasCruiser Posted August 18, 2015 Author #67 Share Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) Do they really? All the time? Always? That's what I've read here on CC. I think they only dock on the port side if they need to do lifeboat testing or something to that effect. I guess you could say that they dock on the starboard side majority of the time..;) Edited August 18, 2015 by OfTheSeasCruiser

helen haywood Posted August 18, 2015 #75 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Your lovely photos of the Oasis are some of the few that illustrate that her hull is actually painted a pale blue as opposed to the usual white. Great job!
