wishIwascruising Posted August 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2015 We arrive at 7:00AM on the Coral Princess and depart at 12:30 PM. So little time! I'm concerned that the trolley/bus may not get us to a beach & back, plus a little shopping. Taxi seems like the obvious choice. Are the shops open so early? There are 4 of us in our 60's, don't need high adventure but would love to enjoy some time at a beautiful beach.
aimodels Posted August 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2015 We had a short stay in Aruba when we were there 3 years ago. We took a taxi to Eagle Beach and caught the bus back. I'd say about 10-15 minutes to get there from port. Cheers, P:)
cb at sea Posted August 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2015 You'll need to do your shopping when you return from the beach...not sure they will be open that early! Yes..the beaches aren't that far....grab a cab and go! Plan on coming by by 10:30, if you want to check out the shops for a bit. It's a shame you don't have longer in port....that's hardly worth the stop, IMO!
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2015 You can go to the beach or if you don't care for the Beach at around 8:30 AM walk around the area as there are some things to see close by and also stop by the stores within a 15 minute walk of the terminal. hladygirl Posted August 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Why does the ship even bother to stop in Aruba? I'd rather just stay at sea than be teased by a port I could not even have time to do anything significant.
