Donder1 Posted August 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2015 (edited) Welcome to the Cruise Critic. I see it's your first post. What ship are you referring to? You can ask about that particular cabin by searching CC for that cruise line and specific ship. That said, if you are a new cruiser and can afford a balcony, I think you might want to try that type of cabin first. Some like insides for a lot of reasons. As for me, I would never book an inside. I'd feel like I was in a tomb. Pitch dark, no fresh air....not for me/us. Edited August 24, 2015 by Donder1
GUT2407 Posted August 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Need more info. But not for me 1. I am a tad claustrophobic 2. You don't know if it's fine or raining 3. You don't know the time of day without checking a clock, when you wake up. 4. Can't see or hear or smell the ocean Some suggest leaving the TV set on bridge cam, I find it puts out to much grey light overnight and also warms the cabin. We have had inside cabins many times. Longest was 26 days. One thing we have found helpful is that when we go to bed we put the tv on the ship's bow camera, muting the sound, so that we have some light and can tell when it becomes daylight.
