jawsbad Posted August 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2015 Does anyone know if you can purchase bottles of liquor from room service during the course of your cruise or does it have to be at embarkation only.

Typhoon1 Posted August 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2015 Pick up the phone at any time, they will be more than happy to send anything you might need. Prices are slightly above average.
avian777 Posted August 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) If I purchase a bottle of, say, vodka, will I be allowed to carry it with me to the MDR or any of the on board bars and drink from it there? If so, will there be any problem if I want to share it with my table mates or other passengers? Edited August 29, 2015 by avian777

Follow up questions: Would I be allowed to host a party in my suite and serve the Room Service liquor to my guests? And would I be allowed to consume a drink that I had mixed in my suite while I walked on the Promenade Deck? Thanks again for your response. Technically, the room service liquor is to be consumed in the room, but from a practical standpoint, I don't know how anyone would know - other than the fact that the glasses are a little different. jawsbad Posted August 29, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted August 29, 2015 Thanks for your help on this. now I know I will be able to purchase on board during the cruise after my wine runs out.
Tangocherie Posted August 29, 2015 #10 Share Posted August 29, 2015 The price of liquor purchased onboard is quite comparable to prices here in Canada. HAL has the most reasonable prices of the four cruise lines I have sailed, by far.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 29, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 29, 2015 We have never had any problems ordering alcohol during the cruise. We also make certain that we have a couple of ones handy to tip the person who delivers the alcohol.
