Emerald Mattresses

I don't think you can make a general assessment of an entire ship, unless it is very new. I'm not even sure if mattresses are different in suites and you did not specify stateroom type. Also, mattresses are swapped out in stages on ships, so it's difficult to say for certain what you might encounter.

In our experiences, we have only had one bad mattress (and I do mean 1 out of the 2 in the cabin). A word to a hotel manager and it was swapped out the next day. There was definitely something wrong with it.

We are both slim build and do prefer on the firm side and have found them quite acceptable.

How are the mattresses on the Emerald? Do I need to ask for the egg crate topper this time around? Thanks.

We have been on the Emerald 4 times during the last two years. Never the same cabin. Each time never needed a crate. We always request a top sheet before travel. It is never on the bed. But steward takes care of the problem during turn down.
