Keypad safes in Indy.

A trick I used years ago was to use a gift card to use the safe. That way you do not worry about personal information from falling into the wrong hands.

To my knowledge, Radiance, Voyager, Freedom, Oasis, and Quantum all have keypad safes.

 

Vision class and Majesty have some keypad and some card swipe.

I can't remember the last time we were on a ship that needed a card to open and lock...I think they have mostly gone to keypads. You can look at my signature and see the ships we have been on recently....all key pads!

This is not true. There are safes on Vision class ships and Majesty that still use swipe cards.

On the few ships that have the swiper I just use any card that has a magnetic strip, such as my AAA card or my library card. That way my credit cards stay safely locked up in the safe. Don't know why they have not changed the instructions. Very few ships with the swiper are still out there.
