I have a soft spot for the MIRACLE....always enjoyed everything about sailing it, it especially The Steakhouse...its really different than the others.

We sailed it 3 x when it was out of NYC but now that its on the West Coast it becomes too costly for us to fly out there to board it.

:)

Took the words out of my THOUGHTS! See my signature of cruising history! :)

Agreed! Miracle is my favorite. Love the placement of the Steakhouse on the spirit class ships. We have sailed Miracle and Legend...hoping to get on Pride and Spirit someday as well!

It wasn't specified if the "favorite" had to be a ship presently in Carnival's service, so with that loophole in mind, I'd have to say my absolute favorite was Carnival's very first ship, the "Mardi Gras".

Even though it's been over 30 years since I sailed on her, I still remember the beautiful mahogany paneling in the hallways, the etched glass in the casino, and the elegant railings all around the ship.

I also remember the dedicated movie theater where my wife and I took in movies several times during our cruise. It's important to note that it was a dedicated theater, not merely a space that had been repurposed to show movies.

That, my friends, was a glimpse into past transatlantic luxury and how traveling by ship used to be.

True, you didn't have the dining options and other amenities you do today relative to Guys, the Lido, etc., but when you did dine, it was 7 courses every night and the food (at least how I remember it) was incredible.

If there was a ship from my past I wish I could travel on again, it would definitely be the Mardi Gras.
