BingoSlots Posted October 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Can someone tell me if the Ice Bar on the Breakway has a cover charge? Also, the drinks served in there, are they covered under the UBP? Or is this a separate charge? Thanks!
*Luv2Cruz* Posted October 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Pretty sure it's $20/pp for two drinks; and definitely not covered! Sent from my QMV7B using Tapatalk Edited October 23, 2015 by *Luv2Cruz*
Rare grouchomarx Posted October 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Yes it is $20 cover charge and you get two drinks with that price, cannot use your drink package to pay. It will be the fastest two drinks you ever drank, it's so amazingly cold in there you just down them in order to get the heck out! But it's very fun and worthwhile to try once. firstprincesscruise Posted October 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2015 They have a menu of like 4 - 5 different drinks to choose from. You can't just go in and order whatever you want. Just whatever is on the menu. They also have 2-3 non-alcoholic drinks for the kiddos.

dazey Posted January 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Is the charge for children also $20?
bjtravelnews Posted January 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2016 The ice bar was fun, but I wouldn't do it again, considering the cost. I was surprised that I didn't feet as cold as I thought I would. Got to sit on the ice throne and take some "cool" pics. Go with a group if you can - it's more fun. Kreativ' Gal Posted January 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Posting the menu for the Ice Bar below, they are pre-made martini like drinks (yummy, with a side effect of drunk, lol). We really enjoyed it and will visit again in a few weeks when we sail. Living in north east PA we don't lack cold weather, so it was more about how long can we "last" in here. :) (outside of tipping) I'm not one to pay extra on an "all inclusive" but this was definitely worth it. Everyone who enters knows it's freezing but has to remark on how cold it is, and we all laugh together. You have to sit on the ice throne and take pics by the ice Statue of Liberty. It was fun! We were in there for about 35 min (poor bartender couldn't leave until we left) but he gave us extra drinks after our coupons were gone. It was Halloween/Day of the Dead and we chatted about our different cultures; he wasn't encouraging us to leave. ;) You should try it at least once. :D
bopperbop Posted January 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2016 You get a cloak to wear...then like others say, you drink two drinks as fast as you can.
Lollygil Posted February 1, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 1, 2016 Do you h ave to prebook? Or can we just walk in and order?
Demonyte Posted February 1, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) Do you h ave to prebook? Or can we just walk in and order? There is a hostess podium outside where you sign up or something like that. :) No prebooking, hours are listed on Freestyle Daily. guest4254 Posted February 9, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 9, 2016 While we were curious about this, it was disappointing. The "bar" is pretty small, maybe 10x15', and there's basically nothing to do, other than drink your drinks and get out. I recall some of the music in the background being songs like "You're as cold as Ice", to keep within the theme, a few things hanging on the walls, and the Ice Throne. Once you've looked at the pics, spoke the bartender and sat in the throne, well, that's about 5 minutes, and unless you luck into having some other interesting people to start a conversation with, I'd pass on this. tiger-91 Posted February 9, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 9, 2016 If you're stopping in ST Thomas, you might want to do this for $22 instead. Especially after a hot day on the beach. http://www.magicice.vi/
Rare BirdTravels Posted February 9, 2016 #15 Share Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) Is the charge for children also $20? Yes. $20 per person. You can stay in as long as you want, but it's pretty cold. Drink your drinks. Take you photos. As a side note, we have actually had the casino comp the cover charge for the Ice Bar in the past.
