look at that sky in the back ground .... when we went through the miraflores locks it absolutely teamed down with rain.... hope stu was one of those people right down the front!!

They had pretty good weather at Gatun (much better than Infinity had on Tuesday)

Great photos indeed .Thanks to Essies mum for posting.Its great when folk from the other side of the world join in. The transit was during our night so I stayed up to catch the start and now with daylight saving was able to get up early enough to catch the last shots at the Miraflores locks.

I think there are enough shots now for Stu to be able to pick himself out when he gets back.

 

The canal transit is certainly an exciting day and I trust the pics we have put up will bring back memories for those that have been through and may spur others to think about booking a canal transit one day.:):)

 

If you visit the official Panama Canal site they have shots of the expansion work which is rapidly drawing to a close .Its massive.

I wonder what effect the new canal will have on cruising downunder?

I think we may be in for massive changes ourselves.;)
