youngncruzin90 Posted November 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2015 Has anyone had experience with one in the rain? I see some cruisers who have had coves with the lifeboats say they like having the shelter in rain so I wonder am I likely to get wet in rain without the lifeboat? Sorry, but I have no idea what you're asking. What are "coves" and what do they have to do with a lifeboat?

Shmoo here Posted November 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2015 sorry, cove balcony rooms on the carnival dream class ships. OK, that helps me direct you. I'd suggest you head over to the Carnival board and ask. Lots of Carnival experience over there: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=

I see some cruisers who have had coves with the lifeboats say they like having the shelter in rain so I wonder am I likely to get wet in rain without the lifeboat? On our last cruise, we had a cove balcony on the Breeze, and no lifeboat directly overhead. We had perfect weather and no rain, so I can't comment on that. However, on a couple of mornings, a cleaning crew hosed down the sides of the ship. I quickly learned not to leave anything out on the balcony, such as tennis shoes, beach towel hanging over the back of a chair, etc. Otherwise, things may get a little wet. Also, it's a good idea to pull the chairs on the balcony all the way back against the wall (at night) so they won't get wet. ;)
