Specialty restaurants dining reservations possible pre-cruise?

I am about 74 days from my next Princess cruise. I selected Anytime Dining. I would like to make reservations for one of the specialty restaurants. However:

 

Under guest check in there is no option for dining reservations. There is an option for shore excursions, however, even that is listed as "Not Available".

 

Under onboard reservations they list beverage packages, culinary delights (the chocolate strawberries look nice, but not as the main course) and spa services are listed, but no dinner reservations are listed.

 

Can specialty restaurant reservations be made online pre-cruise?

Nope. Either call Dining Reservations from your cabin phone (special button), or visit the venue you wish to dine at in person. Do either shortly after boarding the ship.

Sadly, pre-cruise dining reservations are not part of Princess' offerings. I do wish they would do this because I've spent too much time on hold, or waiting for a human to answer my phone call once I board the ship so I could make a reservation or two.

 

On other cruise lines, depending on where you fall on their past passenger ranking, making a reservation ahead of time has been a plus.
