Are you looking for Chankanaab only, or Dolphin Discovery as well? Dolphin Discovery is located inside Chankanaab, but you need separate admission. Dolphin Discovery fare includes Chankanaab, but not the other way around.

 

You can get there by taxi. With 1 to 4 people, you are looking at $12 one way taxi ride.

 

We did Dolphin Encounter, and we spent the whole day there. Left the ship around 8:30am, and got back around 4:30pm.

And Chank has an admission fee US$21 per adult; US$14 per child under 11 years old. Plus whatever you spend on food, drink, etc.

 

there are other beach resorts with lower entrance costs (or none) and lots of things to do.

we have a party of 3 adults and 3 kids ages 14, 11 and 5. some wanted to zip line and some wanted the beach - i was thinking this may be a nice compromise.

is this worth it for the whole day or should we do the park and then head over to nachi com? and how far are the two apart?

Your three kids will be bored at Nachi and adult admission there is $55 each for all-inclusive (food/drinks). No water toys, just sand, beach chairs, water and a small pool -- great for a quiet relaxing day, not so great if you are 5. Plus the extra cab fare from Chank to Nachi will run about $17-20+

 

Unless you are focused on the sea-animal show side of Chank I would instead suggest that you take your crew to Paradise Beach - $3 admission, huge pool, nice beach, great facilities. Taxi for 4 should be about $17 each way.

I was debating between Chank and Punta Sar. We are looking at renting a vehicle so we can explore the island but wanted to stop in a park for an hour or two.
