silvercrikhix Posted December 18, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted December 18, 2015 I would be ELATED if they added espresso & cappuccino! Please, Carnival?
BigB0882 Posted December 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2015 What date exactly? I sail on Monday. I think the things I ordered the most will remain free so I don't mind the change. Will never pay extra for food on Carnival so I will avoid the extra cost items if they are on our cruise.

slybear Posted December 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 18, 2015 Its not a surprise. This has been discussed for a few months. I'm just sad there's no more shrimp salad, but its not really a big deal.

welldone60 Posted December 18, 2015 #13 Share Posted December 18, 2015 I don't know why, but we have never ordered room service. The few times we thought about it we just decided to go get something instead.
rxyoubet Posted December 18, 2015 #14 Share Posted December 18, 2015 This is our second cruise....last one 13 years ago. So, I see the prices for the room service items that have a cost. But, what are other items with room service that are free? We will be on the Conquest in 4 weeks. Thanks for any info!
kona_wahine Posted December 18, 2015 #15 Share Posted December 18, 2015 No surprise, been discussed here for months. I can find something included on room service if I want something. About the only time I will pay extra for food is those darn big slices of cake. They call to me when I walk by. We always share a slice. :p

BigB0882 Posted December 19, 2015 #19 Share Posted December 19, 2015 All you really ever need from room service is a BLT and the chocolate cake. Oh, that chocolate cake is absolutely heavenly. Those remain free so I am happy as can be. :) I have a weakness for chicken tenders, I am like a 5 year old boy that way. I will try not to spend $5 on those but if I am drunk I can't make any promises. lol

It is those HUGE wonderful, delicious cookies. They keep talking until I break down and buy one. Luckily my husband demands half when I get to the room, so I am saved some. LOVE that place. We must be distant cousins Other than coffee sometimes in the morning.......and long ago breakfast on Shore Trip days......we have never used Room Service. MY daughter and her husband, and One Small Grandchild..........enjoyed room service every night. Edited December 19, 2015 by AmberTeka

zqvol Posted December 19, 2015 #22 Share Posted December 19, 2015 I never did understand the thrill of dining in your cabin on a cruise ship. The things are so small that after you eat the place smells like food for hours.

bury me at sea Posted December 19, 2015 #24 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Don't know why I am still surprised at the mentality of so many posters here of "It doesn't bother me so it's ok." Carnival has always included room service. Charging for new items and eliminating previous free items is not ok. Even if it doesn't impact you it still isn't ok. fuddrules Posted December 19, 2015 #25 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Don't know why I am still surprised at the mentality of so many posters here of "It doesn't bother me so it's ok." If Carnival had everything that everyone wanted, they'd have to have a food ship sailing along side the cruise ship. So, if they have and/or keep some of the things I like, that's good. It doesn't surprise me at all.
