BJzink Posted December 22, 2015 #35 Share Posted December 22, 2015 What is your favorite Carnival port of call you've visited and why? Odd that there were only 2 responses for Alaska or European ports - Guess most of the cruisers who read this board are sun/sand passengers? nessz79 Posted December 22, 2015 #36 Share Posted December 22, 2015 A few years back, it was Roatan. Beautiful! I've heard things have changed there, so may not be the same. Next for me would be Half Moon Cay- I have never seen water so clear! It was like pool water, but better.
lisajm Posted December 22, 2015 #37 Share Posted December 22, 2015 1. Roatan 2. San Juan 3. St Thomas (for access to St John) 4. Cozumel But honestly can find something to do and appreciate anywhere I am. I love beaches so I moved to Florida. Will see that my favorite "port" are the ships themselves! cruiseonthebrain Posted December 22, 2015 #38 Share Posted December 22, 2015 St. Maarten- I like visiting both sides of the island, the people have always been really nice, I love the beaches and you can find fun rum concoctions to bring home for friends (obviously sealed in a bottle). SMSACE6 Posted December 24, 2015 #49 Share Posted December 24, 2015 (edited) Same as I said in the least favorite thread; I don't have a least favorite, nor a favorite. I used to have a favorite, but as time goes by, and the more ports visited, I just have some I like more than others, but do find something to like in each place. some favorites are; San Juan, St Martin, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel, ST Thomas, Antigua, Limon Costa rica, Barbados, and more that I have done on land vacations. Belize and Roatan, as well as Colon Panama were quite different ,but still enjoyed them and appreciated them for what they were, Ocho rios Jamaica, enjoyed it too, and want to go back. And my last cruise to Grand Turk and Amber Cove, I was too ill with back pain to do or see much, so these two places are definitely on my go back to list. IslandCurls Posted December 24, 2015 #50 Share Posted December 24, 2015 I'd love to say Barbados, but as I live there, I think I may be a bit biased, so I'm going to have to go with St. Lucia, because it's so lush and green. It's beautiful and I feel so relaxed there :-)
