First Time in a Celebrity Suite and Elite - Perks?

For our admittedly short 5 Night cruise next month on the Constellation we have a Celebrity Suite and we just became Elite. We've probably been in every non-suite category except inside (I get claustrophobic in an inside).

From some of you more Suite experienced, what's different? What should we be sure to do/use? And same with Elite, what should we be sure to do we couldn't before?

Can we ask for some of the Aqua Class tea in our room daily? That's the Aqua perk I like the most.

Will we have better bath amenities?

We have the 123 Drink Package, are there any decent or different wines by the glass in Lumiere? We like the Celebrity/KJ wines, but something different is always fun.

You will have access to Michael's Club and will dine in Luminae, as that's your assigned dining room. I'm not sure about the tea, as its one of the very few perks left for those only in AQ. You'll get the Elite coupons for things like laundry, casino match play and Internet minutes.

The Celebrity Suites are very nice.

If you have a problem with climbing into the high bathtub, your butler can bring you a step stool, but that just takes up limited bathroom floor space, so we prefer not to use one.

You can sit on the rim of the tub and swing your legs over, if you are short.

By the second day, you will probably have tried out different ways to do it and will have figured out which method of climbing in and out works best for you.

Your butler will bring you whatever type of food or tea or coffee you want, including espresso or cappuccino.

Some additional minor things:

The bathroom has a window into the living room above the bathtub that has an adjustable venetian blind. If the slats are open, anyone in the living room can look right into the bathroom.

The controls for adjusting the slats are oddly positioned on a side wall of the bathroom.

(It took us a while to figure that out the first time we were in a Celebrity Suite.)

Also, we find the location of the toilet paper holder to be inconvenient as the toilet paper would fall out and roll on the floor, so we just put it on the counter directly in front of the toilet.

We did not receive the better bath amenities on our recent stay in a Celebrity Suite, only the regular shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and lotion.

We asked, but the butler said they did not have the upgraded products.

A lot of people have been complaining about that, so they may have the better products again by the time you cruise.

We also needed to ask for the ice bucket and suite tote bag the last time, both of which had been provided automatically with no need to request them on previous cruises.

You can ask your butler for copies of the Luminae dinner menus for the entire cruise, so you can look them over before deciding which night/s you want to have dinner in a specialty restaurant.

They provide the bulky, heavy terry-cloth bathrobes and cloth slippers, but on warm weather cruises, such as in the Caribbean, we always request and receive the lighter weight robes as well.

We prefer to use our own rubber flip-flops as slippers because the slippers they provide can be slippery.

(Maybe that is why they call them slippers? ;) )

A corner of the living room close to the TV has a desk alcove with additional storage shelves.

We found it convenient to keep some earplugs on the desk because frequently one of us wants to use the computer there while the other is watching TV.

(There is a second TV in the bedroom, but the living room is more comfortable for sitting.)

Oh, on the Summit, the US electric outlets for the desk area were hidden inside the cabinet down under the desk, where they were very inconvenient to reach. Fortunately, we had brought along a power strip so we only needed to plug it in once, and then everything else could be plugged into the power strip up on top.

There are additional, conveniently located outlets in the living room and in the bedroom vanity area as well.

As for being Elite, on the first day of the cruise you should find a letter from the Captain's Club host/ess with a schedule of all the elite events for the entire cruise, as well as your sheets of elite coupons.

We just mark the events we want to attend and use magnets to hang up the schedule on the wall above the bar area.

You really don't need the internet coupons provided on the Elite coupon sheet to set up your internet accounts.

(Instructions are provided and are very easy to follow.)

There are some bottles of Evian on the counter with a card indicating the price you will be charged if you use them. We ask the stateroom attendant to take them away when he empties the mini-bar (which we also request).

However, if you pick up bottles of Evian from Michael's Club to bring back to your suite, there is no charge for them.

There is no charge for any of the drinks at Michael's Club, or at the daily Elite cocktail party or at the Elite breakfast

(but the choices at the Elite events are much more limited than at Michael's club).

Do check to see if lunch is being served in Luminae on the day you board.

For our last cruise, it was not listed on the schedule for the embarkation day, so we planned to go to the buffet for lunch.

By mere chance, we happened to stop by Luminae anyway just to see what was on the dinner menu for the first night. We found the restaurant open, so we had lunch there after all.

Hope you have a wonderful cruise and enjoy your CS!

We just returned from a 4 day in a CS on the Connie. Although we are only Select, we received both the Select and Elite coupons. We also received two cards for the Elite happy hour. So basically, by staying in the suite we had all the Elite perks. Luminae was open for lunch on embarkation day but was closed on port days. Complimentary lunch in Bistro on 5 is only for RS and PH suite pax. The shower in the tub is terrible- very poor water pressure and if you're over 6' tall you will have to duck to take a shower. With both Elite perks and Michael's Club free drinks, having a drink package is a bit of a waste.

You will love Luminae. The maitre d surprised us, and went off the ship to purchase some wheat pasta for us. They made us a great chicken Marsala. The restaurant staff had heard about our previous night dinner disaster in Tuscan Grille and went out of their way to please.

Enjoy all the comforts of the Celebrity Suite.

Oh my gosh you're going to have an amazing cruise!

We were in a CS on Eclipse this past Thanksgiving cruise and had elite status (at the end of the cruise we became elite +).

We got a call from the shoreside concierge at Michael's a week or so before and we talked about all the things we'd like.

Luminae is amazing and the sommelier was amazing, suggesting things every night and letting us try different wines. A couple of times she suggested a wine a couple dollars more than our premium package but it was well worth the $3 or $4 difference in price.

I love the bourbon and peaches signature Luminae cocktail. Had one almost every night

They will make any drink you want in Michael's. If the bartender isn't set up for it, he will get it from whatever bar, and then he'll try to have it on hand for you after that.

Michael's concierge really made our cruise -- having a special musical concert or tour or something every day. You'll no doubt get at least one invite to the captain's table. You can ask for a bridge tour, for an engine room control room tour, galley tour -- anything you want. They'll try and make it happen.

Enjoy your cruise! We won't be cruising again until spring 2017 but we look forward to our next one.

We didn't find the drink package (which we upgraded to premium) a waste at all, because we didn't spend all our time in Michael's where drinks are free.

We love the Martini Bar, the Sunset Bar, Rendezvous Lounge, and other places. Also I like the Evian water and we had that flowing freely at every meal no matter where we were.

Just one glass of wine with dinner every night was enough to more than pay for the drink package.

We are on our first Celebrity cruise in February on the Silhouette. We are Royal Caribbean Diamond- Celebrity Elite. We have been in Grand Suites on Royal and love the suite perks and the larger room. Because Celebrity is more expensive, we booked a Sky Suite. This looks like the size of a Junior Suite on Royal?

Can we also ask for Galley and Bridge tours? Or are they for the bigger suites?

Any suggestions? What should I look forward to for a first timer with Celebrity?

Really looking forward to a smoke free casino!

Since I have the go best perk, the agent said I can cash-in the Internet credit for elite status for OBC, since I have unlimited internet perk. Is this true?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks
