Someone on our cruise was sent back to the ship in Barbados by one of the guards outside the terminal building. He had to get changed before he was allowed to leave. We had been told by the captain and it was in the Horizon. He said he didn't know but he was the type that always wanted to chance his luck!

It is not only clothing it extends to shopping bags etc. and please be aware that on Barbados there is a beach specifically reserved for the police, so do not use that one. Quite often you will also find a police presence on a tourist beach mainly to stop sales of illegal substances but they do stop tourists being hassled by down and outs.

 

Beach shorts are permitted daytime generally but restrictions may be in force in MDR.
