Rare Womble99 Posted January 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Today we booked a cruise for the first time using a Princess Cruise Planner rather than the website as we received a letter with the last set of brochures we requested inviting us to utilize their services. Thinking a single point of contact might be a good idea we gave the chap a call only to find that he had knocked off early  fair call it is Friday so I chatted with the young lass who was covering for the afternoon and sorted the cruise we were after. We booked an 8 day cruise on Emerald for a family of 4 in E731 all looks good. The bit that puzzled me was when she went through the deposit she was uncertain if the FCD's (we are using 2) would be sufficient to cover it and she would have to request they be extended and would advise us on Monday if there is further deposit required? As we have never used FCD's for a booking of 4 in a cabin before we are wondering is this the norm? From everything I have seen so far on cc it seems to be ok to use a single FCD to book a single cabin for 2 if you only have 1 FCD (and only get the 1 lot of OBC). Any ideas on what I can expect to hear come Monday?
Aus Traveller Posted January 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2016 I thought you had to have a FCD for each person booking.:)
Zooguy Posted January 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2016 You'll need an FCD for each person.
Rare Womble99 Posted January 8, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 8, 2016 That's cool , we will just pay the additional deposit as they were the last 2 we had at the moment. We hadn't planned a family cruise but it just came up so we booked it [emoji1]
Nāmaka Posted January 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2016 If you are using an FCC, the $100 deposit will be extended to your cabin mate. They will not receive any OBC, only the holder of the FCC will.
nukesubsailor Posted January 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Every time my wife and I have booked a cruise cabin using FCC's our booking confirmation shows a deposit of $200. I take that to mean that 2 FCC's were used for the 2 of us in the cabin.
RDC1 Posted January 8, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2016 We use FCCs every time we book. We have always needed to have an FCC for each person booked.
rkmw Posted January 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2016 i booked a quad cabin using one FCC and no more to pay for the other 3 people, i did get OBC too
Colo Cruiser Posted January 8, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) Regardless of how many FCC's you use for a deposit, the OBC is only for the first 2 in the cabin that use the FCC. Edited January 8, 2016 by Colo Cruiser
