Nanookz Posted January 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) So John Heald posted that they have free chocolate croissants at the coffee shop. Which I and many others did not know about by the look of things on Facebook. So what else is free at the coffee shop? Thanks. Beeslilmama Posted January 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Do they have free coffee at the coffee shop or only the specialties you pay for? Is the only place to get coffee from room service? Is there creamer available? I can't say that I was a big coffee drinker when I cruised before, but now I gotta have it in the morning.
skrufy Posted January 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Have never seen free coffee or pastries at the specialty shop The pastries could be something new.. Coffee is available 24 hrs. a day on the lido deck.

I don't believe they have free coffee at the coffee shop, only the specialty coffees. You can get coffee from room service, if you write it on the door hanger just mark in cream, if you call just ask for cream. They will bring it in a little mini-pitcher. If you like lots of cream, ask for 2 creams. My mother in law made the mistake of asking for 6 creams, thinking they would be the little cups with the tear off lids. They brought 6 of the mini pitchers! You can get coffee at Lido anytime.

WAHMto5 Posted January 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Last Breeze cruise we were just on, they did have a table set-up in the Casino area that had coffee, juice, and pastries during that time frame. Never checked the coffee shop for the chocolate croissants, though will be checking next month on the Glory....Yum!

They do that on the Premier and Ultra casino cruises, I don't believe they do it on every voyage.
beachbum53 Posted January 9, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 9, 2016 You can also order croissants from room service to be delivered with your morning coffee. ;):)
amyh13 Posted January 9, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Maybe I am confusing trips but I swear I bought a specialty coffee from the coffee shop and the barista asked me what I wanted from the case. I said no thank you assuming it would cost extra and she said it was included with the coffee purchase. Long ago and maybe another cruise line but the majority of my cruises have been carnival. Bases5 Posted January 9, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 9, 2016 The coffee shop does not have reg brewed coffee, So no Red/Black eyes which I think is silly.

Canadian_J Posted January 9, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 9, 2016 I had one of those croissants on the Liberty in November and it was very good! First time I'd noticed something free at the coffee shop.
PAPERBKWRITER Posted January 9, 2016 #15 Share Posted January 9, 2016 I prefer the Danish or the Cinnamon buns (when they have them) on lido in the morning.
Galleon1234 Posted January 9, 2016 #16 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Can you buy a coffee punch card that if you don't use up then you can use it on the next cruise, like Princess?
NoDayButToday Posted January 9, 2016 #17 Share Posted January 9, 2016 The coffee shop does not have reg brewed coffee, So no Red/Black eyes which I think is silly. Just order a single or double espresso and dump it into the free coffee. Instant red or black eye (and cheaper than you would get it at pretty much any coffee shop too). Instant red or black eye (and cheaper than you would get it at pretty much any coffee shop too). I agree So espresso deck 5 and coffee deck 10 Not the easiest way but that's what I do. I know they have a small coffee shop on deck 10 but it's not always manned. Princess has the coffee thing down right.
cruizinrican Posted January 9, 2016 #19 Share Posted January 9, 2016 I believe you have to pay for all coffee at the specialty coffee shops. And as for the pastries, only after ordering the coffee were we allowed to pick something from the pastry case and we took 2 each! No problems with doing so. It turned into a trend for us the rest of the cruise.....coffee and special pastries every morning.
sanmarcosman Posted January 9, 2016 #20 Share Posted January 9, 2016 I had one of those croissants on the Liberty in November and it was very good! First time I'd noticed something free at the coffee shop. Do you have to pay for a specialty coffee to be offered a "free" croissant? There seems to be some confusion here whether you can just walk up to the counter and ask for a croissant without a coffee purchase.
