Our trip came, it went and another one already signed up with our TA. Taking many Pictures & Video, talking to the Staff and guests. So sit back and relax, this will be a trip of a lifetime. My next Cruise that is with RCCL Harmony, love Celebrity

1. Have to start somewhere and our trip was with more then a few people, had a special pass to head in to the Port to Terminal 25. If you fly in, sitting on the correct side and route, you fly right by the port, same goes when you head out? Some days you see 8 ships, some a few. As we enter into the Port I grab the sign of the Ports I was able to grab the Alure of the Seas

DSC00234.jpg

Not the best shot, while on the Bus and not my first time seeing the ship. My last time was at St Thomas with a rope wrapped around its thruster, coming in hours late?

DSC00232.jpg

However you get here get there safe, we are on a few Buses, and taxis, City bus or private rides you name it. One of the nicest decorated buses I seen. so far? I like to take the name of the ship I am on, not just one shot but a few and at different port and angles. I like to enjoy my trip with pictures I can look back on.

DSC00237.jpg

The camera I am using is a brand new Sony Cyber shot DSC-HX90V if you ask me how I like it, it is missing UMPH! I am aa previous owner of a Cyber shot WX350, and I personally wished I could have taken that along, which I left behind let alone my HX20V.

We're ready to head out, least amount in hand. how some love to travel and understanding why others must take it all with them. The Walk is short, always hearing CC people ask the obvious questions. Can I find a Porter, how far is it to the Terminal, you name it. I will say this Miami is prettier, but longer, Ft Lauderdale is nice but shorter. As you see the Bus to the Terminal 25 it is real short, it really is. At this point the Officials will say with a nice Smile no more picture taking from here to the security.

DSC00241.jpg

As we head inside, Security check in was a breeze, no issues or complaints at all. Once we gathered our belongings if any we move along to the check in. We headed to our line hardest part was following the path? We were greeted, we were taken care of, and the person was new, taken us a few more minutes and wouldn't you know it the electronics failed to work. We finally get our papers and off we go. The room is old, needs a face lift and wished it looked more like Miami then a warehouse. Like I said one has what the other does not and vica-verca?

Off we go heading to our class section to wait a few minutes before we can all aboard, we were not forced to take photos or pushed to the side, but were told to show our blue card, for verification that we had everything we needed. the moment has come, to board the ship , we are getting up and off we go.

stay tuned for more as we head aboard the Celebrity Silhouette Boarding the ship and enjoying the Bonvoyage...

2. We are called, we head around the corner, up the escalator and it's a walk and for the elderly yes it gets tiring especially on the incline of the gangplank. We are nearing the top and the kids that were at terminal 25 tried to board early, were turned back? Did we hear here on CC what is the earliest to board, 10:30AM for who? Groups, classes, not everyone. A picture is worth a thousand words, but when you head to the entry of the ship, what is worse are the people that do not belong, step to the side. I will l say this I am on vacation and one thing is on my mind a vacation. so I totally get it. and I say that to keep myself in check.

As we get near never saying how many in my group, why people are walking back and not down by Deck 2, may be for a reason or two, we get our blue cards out and if all goes well you are checked in your final time. and the fun begins. For some it is Amazement, others like they never left. for me it's time away from the World, the moment I been waiting for. it's here and gone like that all memory. I never have been on the Silhouette, not sure what to expect. I have been on the Equinox twice, the Eclipse, the Reflection, and one more ship, the Consulation, and Mellenium (SP) that's two sorry.

2016_01_11.jpg

The time has come I greet the check in , and I am welcomed aboard. We are welcomed aboard, we are greeted by the first Sanitizer station and trust me, wash, wash, wash you'll thank us you'll never get that type of service ever again. Why we all fill out the papers and say no I am not sick, but a day later, (cough) (cough). We slowly get to the First free drink and I alwayspass them by, I do say thank you, no. Orange Juice and some Bubbly. who we toasting, got plenty of time for that,

2016_01_11.jpg

Finally we're officially on, saying thank you for having us, we pleased to be here, and off we go taking care of business, just like that, our on was a pleasure no headaches no pushing, just watching some people being not where they were suppose to be, and best of yet no crowds, It's time for me to stay near but depart around the ship some while it is empty

2016_01_11.jpg

As I head down to Deck 3 I get to see what the stair case looks like and what I remember from past cruises. exactly the same to the tee. We do head over to Shore excursions and since it was not open Guest relations, where they taken care of what we had questions and concerns. So in the mean time

DSC00245.jpg

I head up to Deck 4 take a quick look and snap a shot looking back down, what I liked best on the other ships was the music the island tunes through out the ship the looping music, always playing in the back of my mind when I think about my vacation. then seeing some staff member pressing a button and switching to a tune he feels fit, I would take his job any time of the day he is cruising and getting paid. Sometimes a relaxing tune is best, and sometimes not to loud, the music was just right. What was the song you say Cha cha you're my golden star... a 80's tune..

Time to head to the Guest relations and take care of some business

As I head down the stairs and heading to Guest Relation (shore excursions are closed), booking a tour, and checking on the others, the Staff has canceled one of our tours due to lack of interest from other guests? Seems at any given time they can open, close, and reopen these tours. We really should be talking to Shore excursions, but no matter what we are taken care of in 5 minutes time, or more, I say come early before it gets sold out, to mobbed. As we communicate kindly things get done in a proper manner.

2016_01_13.jpg

It's time to walk around see some of the Ship before it gets loaded with guests. I walk to the MDR area. and for those who have no clue of a dress code, anything that is not listed can be worn, no it is actually called common sense. As I don't plan my meals but always look forward to the traditional first dinner.

2016_01_13.jpg

Mama's Pork Chops, what I am looking forward to. So I take a nice look at the Menu and it is an older style one. I see the Classic Shrimp Cocktail, Fruit, Salad, snails, soup. Salmon, Chicken Steak, Chocolate, cheese cake, and my Home style pork chops. Of course as I type this, I miss those dishes. time for me to cook a dish and remember the moments.

2016_01_13.jpg

I head to the other side, because I do not recall, having a MDR cut to size before and see a Newer Dining place, the Lumanae, in my mind, the price, the crowd, the food. Looks interesting, sounds interesting. Do I have the funds, can I make ends meet. etc, all goes through my mind, food is paid for, do I pay more? Over and over each year I think about what I may or may not have missed? I take a nice look inside after I read the dishes. Salmon, chicken, allsounds the same..

2016_01_13.jpg

All this food is getting me Hungry, so I go in but no service around to even dine me? Oh I am to early, ha ha ha. The room is tight, small and Cozy. time to head out and start to think about what is for Lunch? where the other family members are at, and where to meet. Just love exploring an Empty ship, quiet clean, and music playing , totally different from the cha cha... be my super star... As I turn to head out the songs that are really playing are Motown era. Got a good beat going. heading out to explore the ship more....

the room is so small that is it in the mirror etc..

DSC00261.jpg

Leaving the room back to the main area in the Center I do take the stairs and always say Hey how's it going to all the Staff, at least they Answer back, they love talking to the guests. for all the guests one thing on our Minds VACATION

SO I kind of head to the Shops knowing they are closed and the Casino is open but not to play. I taken note early on that the Deck three stair case art under and behind was no where as nice as the Eclipse, or Reflection. And here I am at the area that has statues vs the baseball vase etc. What I liked was how they had thee other art lit up, not on the Silhouette? Shops are located on Deck 4, and Deck 5, when I say this I say it the shops are not for the men, meaning no tee shirts like I remember. just the Navy Blue Baseball cap, was all I seen and found, lucky me I got a tan one that I love! Later on they shirts come out but like said not in the shop on display like I remembered

2016_01_13.jpg

As I feel it's time to mingle, head up I do find myself my Morning tea. I love Lipton, I love tea, and people on CC always ask what types of teas. which stations serve what, and why do they not have this or that but they got others like..

Tea is tea, for me if it is the Deck 5 tea but not instant tea, and the concitrated (SP) tea was good this time round.

DSC00267.jpg

If stairs or elevator you get off and enter the Ocean Cafe Deck 14, not Deck 12, it's Buffet style and it's first come first serve, grab a seat, save it and get your food. No chair hogs, you have no problem sitting down next to strangers go for it, it's day one you may or may not see them again, it's a large ship? As you enter. wash wash wash your hands it's only polite to do so? If you entered the this side you see the display case. with cakes, plates you name it, Enter the other side its the bar side.

For some seating can get quite confusing, and there are no color sections? IfI remember the Eclipse and Equinox did have some front seats different colors?

Since we entered with our clothing on., for those who did not read the proper attire sign before? Bthing attire is allowed but only if you are covered up. You're not home, lol.

Pizza is a lot bigger the station that is, the slice the same size I remember? along side is the Past and if I remember right Asian dishes, maybe later on the cruise. for breakfast that was? Yes later on it was.

DSC00271.jpg

Stations of food, your Breads, your salads, your pasta, your roast beef carving, your veggies, noodles, your deserts, ice cream, you name it?

DSC00273.jpg

Eat, watch, take in the scenery, relax, rooms are not ready you got till 1:AM but be respectful for others don't hog a seat! We hear people ask questions, and they cry all about lounge hoggers. Never do I make fun of people I may think out loud about why is that person carrying their suitcase in a cafeteria?

Well yes I was one of them years ago, no longer today? to cheap to tip the Porter to take your case, no no one knows these reasons, We are finished, ate enough.. Never did I tell you what I ate? Yes that is my Lunch better than nothing if asked? I love food but way to over whelming for the start for me.

DSC00268.jpg

As we made sure we left not a thing behind, I found a card some one lost their card already? Do I yell out the persons name, do I look for some one looking, yes, do I ask around yes, and do I go off the floor no, I handed over to the Staff, and they will page the person.

NO they never paged the person, No they may have founded here, never know, a 50/50 call .

I look around more, maybe a cookie, can not find any, as I head out, behind in a glass jar, no longer available to take unless you ask, want ten they will give you ten, just ask. the best cookies I ever had, Grandma's cookies on the NCL SKi, Get them any day on land. No I looked remember I am saving up for Home style Pork chops.

DSC00286.jpg

It's give or take around 1:Pm announcements made, time to head to the rooms, if luck. of we go prepping for a private function and Soon after a Muster drill.

As we head to our state room, our room for the 7 days on board, we meet with Victor our Steward, hardly seeing his partner, our room is smelling mighty fine. It's not my first Concierge or last, and I take note right away in my mind. did I have flowers on day one yes, this time no. did we have candy in our room day one yes, this time no. did we have fruit last time no this time yes. Right away people complain about the stupidest things...

I am on Deck 9 the card room, and it is no where as nice as the Reflection, because it's an old fashion card room, not updated with electronics?

DSC00290.jpg

Our room is nice, this time the bed again is by the Window and separated, sometimes if it is not, just kindly see your Steward and say. Victor, if it is no problem and when you get a chance... And before you know it, it's done.

Questions I hear, oh that must be free, if I drink it will I get charged, on a personal note it is not free and you paid for it.

DSC00293.jpg

Nice size desk, fridge, safe and with my 6 port outlet I am good the books are interesting to read, and used to be on the side no more. so if I had to put them somewhere by the beds shelf above used to be snacks, the water is there still. Drinks cost. Still Samsung and Apple. I check out the movies last time it was 10, this time about 20. and from memory a lot better this time, than last time. Mission impossible latest, Noah, Minions, and more

DSC00295.jpg

It's a real comfty bed, newer colors than tan from the few years back I remember. above is space so plenty of room for things. I just do n ot put anything breakable above, because on a rocky day it can open up and fall.

DSC00297.jpg

One of the reasons why I like a Balcony, its an extra room. Ship is in port and only time they can get to paint to, poly is wet, it's drying fast. Got a great view, nice set of chairs and real happy but have to step back in due to the smell its not that bad. As we check things out, making sure got everything

DSC00308.jpg

I start to check out what is on the tubes account and it's almost time.
