Staggered Check In Email for Miami Sailing on Sensation March 28, 2016

Just got an email stating I needed to select a check-in time for our March 28th cruise on the Sensation out of Port of Miami.

 

Was lucky to get right in and select 10:00am to 10:30am.

Note....if you get the same email, you need to log in to your account and edit your check in and select a check in time.

It would seem that one could deduce that there is a good chance that the staggered check in starts after 2/27/16.

I received an e-mail today from an "unknown sender". The subject was: Staggered check in required. I did not open this because I do not open mail from unknown senders or mail that does not list a subject. OP, did your mail say from Carnival? I am sailing on 3/12/16 from Miami on the Glory.

We did not get a e-mail- I was wondering if

it was because we are platinum.

 

Also should I pick a late time because I'm platinum and save the early

time slot for those who are not?

Thanks, there is another thread about this same subject and after reading this thread, I think the e-mail was from Carnival. I guess the e-mail was really confusing. I am in no hurry to pick a time as we have FTTF.

We are on the same cruise and have the same check in time. I was glad to catch it because I didn't get an email.

When you log in for check in do you see the check in times right away or you have to do some of the online check in to get to that area to mark which one we want?

You should choose the time you expect to arrive. As Platinum, you will be able to enter the terminal if you arrive before the time slot you selected.

 

Platinum still got the emails.

The selection of checkin times for my 2/21 Dream cruise has been open for a few weeks now. 10:30 and all other selections are still available so I would not think you need to rush. I wouldn't wait a long time if you have a specific time in mind but you should be able to get the time you want for a while.

Hopefully it's because the Plats, FTTF people politely left the early spots open for others since they can get on anytime.
