Knighton Posted January 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Does anyone know if they're still doing the complementary bottle of wine in the steakhouse the 1st night? We're on the Liberty out of San Juan on Feb. 14th. Thanks!
Cruzin2paradise09 Posted January 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2016 They had it on the Breeze last month. Also if you didn't want the free bottle, you could order any bottle at 50% off.
JLee1973 Posted January 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Yes but it isn't very good.

JohnSpo Posted January 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2016 The free bottle is also offered in the steakhouse during the first elegant night in the MDR. I have chosen the free bottle of wine. I get the red and it is very good.
stoddaj1 Posted January 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Just to confirm... if we elect to purchase wine at 50% off (we'd like to buy a few extras for the cabin) is it only the more high end wines not the bottles in the $25 range? jarand Posted January 20, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2016 On the Glory last week they did this on the first Formal night.
stargate fan Posted January 20, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Just to confirm... if we elect to purchase wine at 50% off (we'd like to buy a few extras for the cabin) is it only the more high end wines not the bottles in the $25 range? I like sweet wines. I LOVE the Moscato served on Carnival. It was $28 before the 50% discount so it's not just more expensive wines that are discounted. I can buy the same Moscato for about $14 at home, so there is quite a mark-up.
SMSACE6 Posted January 20, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Does any one remember the name of the free wine? or at least where it is from? Chile? or Europe? I guess I am not a great wine connaisseur, because last October I discovered that I liked one of their lower priced pinot grigios. It was Italian and started with a Z. If that is the one they give free in the steakhouse, than it will work for me. Any one remember what was offered?
BTromboneFrack Posted January 20, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 20, 2016 The Conquest had the complimentary bottle of wine on the first night a few weeks ago. We also bought some champagne at 50% off and brought it to our room. Great deal!!!

It was a chardonnay and we thought it was undrinkable.
SMSACE6 Posted January 21, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 21, 2016 LOL, and thanks:) I think I know which one it is now...and as I say, I am not a great wine connoisseur, but that one still works for me. I will drink most wine that is not terribly sweet, so I might finally give the steakhouse a try on my next cruise. :)

Does anyone know how many bottles we would be permitted to purchase if we go to the steakhouse the first night? We will be on the Breeze.
