AliMar Posted January 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2016 We booked an aft premium balcony cabin (C752) on the Star for our Alaska cruise in May. When looking closely at the aft Caribe deck plan, I just noticed that there is a doorway that appears to open to a small outside deck area. Does anyone know if that is indeed an outside area accessible to passengers? This same aft doorway appears on decks 8-12, on both port and starboard sides. cheeseclan Posted January 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2016 That is not deck access. It is access to stairs used by the crew and only used by passengers when you go to the muster on the first day or in a real emergency.
AliMar Posted January 25, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 25, 2016 Thank you for the clarification... we love the quiet, aft location and feel very relieved to know that door noise will not be an issue.

As noted its crew stairs on either side of the ship. They are used during muster.

Where is the location of the muster drill for Caribe aft passengers? I know it will be in the Patter, but just curious.

hickorydickorydoc Posted March 11, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2016 On Star Princess is the Sanctuary all enclosed or is it all open? I understand there is no pool. HDD

When you exit your cabin just look nearby and you will see a Princess employee to guide you in the correct direction. No worries.:)
