Ramjet1997 Posted January 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Someone had to tip off the cops......dogs don't normally board the ship because they do not have passports or their set sail passes :). No doubt the cops knew who they were looking for - seven passengers. These folks had to be in at least 2 cabins - the cops were following these folks all the way through check in......trust me..... I presume that they won't get their onboard credit, and Royal surely resold their cabins again before setting sail :) Edited January 26, 2016 by Ramjet1997

PCWalton1 Posted January 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 26, 2016 I hear they were just bringing it on board for Quest. You never know what the CD is going to ask for so you need to be prepared. :p
Coralc Posted January 26, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2016 We had a drug dog come onboard in San Francisco on Serenade, after a Panama Canal cruise. My husband was surprised when he opened the door and saw him and the handler in the hall. If they found anything in passenger staterooms, it didn't make the local news. Retired LEO Posted January 26, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Do they get it back at the end of the cruise? Seriously? The crew party will be like none other.

serious sealeggs Posted January 26, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 26, 2016 I've seen DEA officials and dogs come onboard on many cruises during disembarkation. And almost always around luggage ares at the port. I know this is a common procedure even though they very well may have been tipped off.
