The deck plans say obstructed view and French doors. My question is; Do the doors open?

Yes they do, but you can't get outside (well without climbing).

Yes. And if you look down you can see water.:) If you are lucky you can see between life boats. I haven't been that lucky. But I don't spend much time in the cabin. It's nice to have the light, and if some big view is about to appear, just go down one level to the promenade, and enjoy!. Booked another one for Alaska. Enjoy!

They're Cat 4K. Not all have the French Doors. The last few (4200's) have Picture Windows. Confirm on the deck plan.

Yup, they open but you can't step out...we love them and always get a between lifeboats cabin.

To get the latter view chose a room next to an oblong on the deck plan and not a large oval. 4149 and 4140 are good examples.
