First time cruising on Halloween this year on the Magic. Can anyone advise if there will be a Halloween Party? Should we bring costumes? Cruising with a large family group and we are wondering what we should plan for. Thanks for any help.

We brought masquerade masks, I would say half had some sort of costume. There was a party at night.

We are on this cruise as well, and we have some easy to pack costumes planned. See you onboard!

Halloween cruises are the BEST!

Masks aren't allowed, or at least stated to be allowed but I have seen them worn w/o incident.

The ship is decorated, everyone is in high spirits (no pun intended but if you giggled, good!) and it is well worth it to do at every other year!

Booked for same cruise on Magic as well! So looking forward to our first Halloween cruise, and we will definitely dress up.

The info given in second posts says select ships. Does this include Magic? Hope so.

I was on the Magic 2 years ago for Halloween, and they had everything listed above. It was a lot of fun, and the costume contest was the best part. If you want to participate in the contest, they have a certain time for you to be there to put your name in, and I had late dinning so I couldn't make it.

People hang bags on candy at cabin door.

I went as a Carnival excursion guide for cave tubing complete with inner tube--fun getting that through the door when I had it on!! I had a sign like the ones they hold up so you can find the group for your excursion, parts of which I got off the Carnival website. I had a fake butt in a thong and that got me into the list of 20 people in the contest.

A group of 8 were a vampire wedding party with very elaborate makeup they said took 3 hours to apply.

They were very mad when a guy dressed in a bikini bra, a sarong, a flower in his hair and makeup calling himself Misty won.
