cheeseheads4ever Posted February 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2016 Quick question! Does anyone have any recommendations on Specialty Restuarants on Constellation and do they do lunches in these restuaurants as well? Any help would be appreciated.. snowwather Posted February 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Was on Celebrity Constellation last spring break and really enjoyed the meals in the main dinning room. Felt no need to pay extra for specialty dinning. Main dinning offers breakfast and dinner but not lunch. Does not answer your direct question but hopefully it is helpful all the same. Enjoy your cruise, we did.
cruzzzinma Posted February 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Ask when you get on board. It will be very subtle in the daily and will be easy to miss. We had lunch in both Ocean Liners and Tuscan Grill on the fall Connie TA.
Rare hcat Posted February 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Last Jan (2015) Connie offered a lunch each sea day...one in Tuscan and one in Ocean Liners...limited menu...we enjoyed the chance to visit at reduced fare and not very crowded which was nice,..you have to inquire or catch it in the daily and reserve ahead, if offered, Tuscan menu was awesome...keep in mind that children are welcome along with infants...so it can be less than a quiet time but most of the kiddies were cute and well behaved.. Ocean Liners dragged a bit between courses...they seem less able to execute the abbreviated menu..It was a nice bonus when another guest played the piano beautifully while we were waiting for the main course... Princess does.
LovetheSea Posted February 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) What? They don't serve lunch in the main dining room? What about breakfast? They used to always be open for Breakfast and Lunch in the main dining room! Edited February 15, 2016 by LovetheSea
TommyD3 Posted February 15, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2016 What? They don't serve lunch in the main dining room? What about breakfast? They used to always be open for Breakfast and Lunch in the main dining room! Breakfast is served in the MDR every day. Lunch is served in the MDR on sea days. This is due to the fact that most passengers are ashore on port days. The specialty restaurant lunch is not every day but once per cruise.
LovetheSea Posted February 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the info. We cruised Celebrity a LOT. But for the last ten years we have been cruising other lines. Mostly Princess. We just booked the Connie last week to see how it has changed. Happy to hear it hasn't changed THAT much. Thank you Tommy D3, I was concerned there would be no lunch in the MDR on sea days. Thanks for setting that straight.
