Mikalen Posted February 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2016 We are sailing on the Getaway on 2/28. I checked the website and see the price has went down by $150 per person. Does anyone know if NCL will give me the lower price

Budget Queen Posted February 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Sorry, no, you are not entitled to anything. You can always call and ask, you may be able to upgrade your cabin. Verify what cabins you may be interested in, and their cost, before you call.
roger001 Posted February 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2016 No, no obligation at all to do so. You might call and see if they would give you a bit of on board credit. Don't feel bad about that though. A price decrease just before many sailings is very common. It is just a last minute "fire sale" to fill any remaining cabins. Only those persons that have the flexibility to schedule a last minute cruise get the benefit. And, more often than not, the price goes up after you book. Also, if you did get any promotional offers, they would generally not be available on these last minute bookings.
ilovetotravel1977 Posted February 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Like the others have stated, no cash back. Last year on the Epic, we were past final payment and our balcony dropped $150pp as well. They upgraded us for free to an Aft-facing balcony in a disabled room (Huge!) with a nice big balcony. That was good enough for us :)

Weluv2cruise2gether Posted February 13, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Call NCL or your TA, whoever you booked with. You may be able to get a free upgrade in your cabin type. I have been lucky on 2 different occasions, both times had a balcony room booked but got upgraded to a mini suite.
PyrHeaven Posted February 13, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Agree with others that say you will not get any money back. OBC is unlikely as well. They may move you to a better cabin category though at no additional cost. I've done this before with no problem (prior to the "perks" days). Today, I upgraded from an inside GTY to a balcony GTY (and paid extra for it, but much less than it was originally going for) because of a price drop. I was able to keep my perks.
