Princess (RT) Seattle<->Hawaii cruises?

Was wondering if there would be enough of a market to offer this itinerary for Princess? -- Perhaps as an option of a sailing(or two) during the shoulder season transition(s) to/from Alaska sailings and/or in lieu of California coastals that may not always sell so well.

Of course a stop would be required in Victoria B.C. on route back to Seattle to satisfy the PVSA.

Thoughts on Princess(or other lines) offering this?

They can't just go from Seattle to the Hawaiian Islands and back again because of the silly law that requires a foreign port, right? They'd have to make a brief visit to Vancouver (or some other foreign port) or close down the casino if I understand.

That's true & is what the OP posted.

The round-trip Vancouver sailings start with five sea days after embarkation, so six nights aboard before the four days in Hawaii followed by five more sea days. To run this from Seattle would as said require a call in Canada--most likely Victoria--so either the ship would have to increase speed on the return trip or add an extra day to the 15 day Vancouver sailings.

(And to offer this sailing without the Canadian "service call" would require a heck of a lot more than just "closing the casino"; the ship would have to be reflagged in the USA and the entire crew would require work eligibility as if on land).

Nope. They're not listening... they've already cut short the number of cruises to Hawaii... they have them from San Francisco, Vancouver and LA... I'd say not a chance!

I continue to hope to find a good cruise fare from LA to HI but that rarely happens & when it does it's for a last minute deal. With the departures spread out across the West Coast the demand is higher than the supply from each departure city resulting in higher cruise fares.

I see lower prices from Vancouver than from SF & LA so maybe the Vancouver cruises are not booking as well as those cruises. I'm doubtful if they'll replace Vancouver with Seattle nor would they add a 4th departure city to HI.

I know that snowbirds from Canada & Alaska frequently fly to HI in the winter so that's another reason it's doubtful to me that they'd sail from Seattle instead of Vancouver. Also as already discussed, sailing from Seattle would require a stop in Victoria which others have posted would add another day to an already long cruise.
