Senior discount if only one person is senior

For my cruise, there is a seniors discount of $50 for passengers over 55 years old. My husband is over 55 but I am not 55 yet. Do both passengers get the seniors discount ( ie, 2 x $50 =$100 discount for the cabin) or there is $50 discount only?

 

I asked because for the Captain's Club benefit, only 1 person from the cabin need to qualify and the all the passengers in the same cabin get to enjoy the same benefit.

Yes, only one person has to meet age requirement for both to qualify for senior discount .

Just to add but don't think would apply to 3rd or 4th passengers though?

The discount is applied to the cabin not to the person. Only one person in the cabin needs to qualify for the senior discount for both to get the discount. Same for the Military discount.

Interesting. I am from the UK and did a dummy booking without entering an over 55 passenger. The price was identical to the cost of my booking with an over 55 and my captains' club number.

Senior discounts are not available on every cruise and they usually don't come into play until close to the cruise date when they are trying to fill cabins. Many times they will also negate any other promotions.

Yes, the discounted rate applies to both passengers in the cabin, not only for senior discounts but for other discounted rates as well, such as military, interline, resident, police or firefighter discount, even the occasional very rare elusive teacher discount.:)
